The Trijicon 1.5x16S Compact ACOG Riflescope, Dual Illuminationis a fixed magnification scope with an illuminated reticle pattern for use in any lighting condition. Dual illumination provides two sources of battery-free illumination, fiber optics and tritium. The fiber optics use ambient light to automatically adjust the brightness level and contrast of the reticle to available light conditions. The tritium-phosphor lamp glows in low-light conditions. The ACOG (advanced combat optical gunsight) body is designed to be extremely rugged and reliable. Wrapped in a small package at 5.1 ounces (without mount), this ACOG is perfect for fast-moving tactical teams operating in close quarters or for speed-oriented competition venues. The forged 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy housing provides a nearly indestructible sighting system. No other magnified optic has been used more in combat than the Trijicon ACOG. No tools are needed for windage and elevation adjustments because the ACOG features external adjusters. All adjuster caps are provided with a lanyard assembly to minimize the loss of caps. This model provides weapons like the M16/M4 with excellent fire control capability. Targets are easier and quicker to acquire through the 1.5x16 models because of their larger fields of view (7.4 degrees) and eye-friendly design.

The Trijicon Compact ACOG Mount with Q-LOC Technology features a Mil-Spec drop test rated 6061-T6 aluminum design, with an easy to use one handed tool less mounting system. The spring-loaded design allows for constant retention and maintaining of zero, even if the knobs are not tightened. The mount boasts a low weight and low-profile design with superior return to zero performance and is compatible with any Mil-Spec or NATO Picatinny rail.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If you are using a Smallrig/ArcaSwiss cage on your camera, can you clamp to this head with the camera facing forward. Or do you need an accessory-type ArcaSwiss clamp to allow the camera to face forward with a Smallrig cage? I do not want to bolt a plate to the bottom of the cage

A: If you have a cage with a built in Arca Swiss plate it will mount on this head with the camera facing forward.

Q: 2. Can I plug this into my iPhone to record onto my phone?

A: The Olympus ME34 Compact Zoom Microphone (B&H # OLME34) cannot record directly into an iPhone. This mic has a 3.5mm TRS connector, and you would need a 3.5mm TRRS, Lightning, or USB-C connector to record directly to your iPhone. You could use something like the Movo Photo iLav Digital Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Lightning Connector (B&H # MOILAV) instead.

Q: 3. Induro pu-50 plates will not mount on this head - any suggestions? Also the included plate is 3/8 inch - is 1/4 inch available.

A: If you remove the safety pins from the Induro plate, it will fit in the Swarovski head. Alternatively you could use the RRS plate which comes without the safety pin attached: https://bhpho.to/31NfN97

Q: 4. Will this work with a Peak Design standard plate?

A: Yes. Both the Geekoto and Peak Design use the arca-swiss standard. :)

Q: 5. Does this come with a bag to carry the tripod?

A: The Nikon Compact Outdoor Tripod does not include a carry bag for the tripod.

Q: 6. What is the difference between the Chimera 5000 and the Chimera 5010?

A: The 5010 is a compact and each side can be folded. The 5000 can be disassembled but the sides do not fold.

Q: 7. Is the base/feet removable?

A: The base on the Watson Dual-Position Compact V-Mount Charger is not removable.

Q: 8. What antennas (shark fins) are compatible for this? Especially if I used the new lectrosonics digital transmitters?

A: The Lectrosonics ALP500 LPDA Shark Fin Style Antenna for Fixed Indoor Installation (B&H # LEALP500) is compatible with all Lectrosonics wireless microphone and IFB systems. The Lectrosonics ALP620 Perforated LPDA Shark Fin Style Antenna (B&H # LEALP620) is for fixed installation indoors and outdoors, and it is compatible with all Lectrosonics wireless microphone and IFB systems. As another option, the RF Venue Diversity Fin Antenna with Stand Mount for Wireless Microphone Systems (B&H # RFDFIN) is compatible with all brands of wireless microphone and IEM systems.

Q: 9. Is this 110-220 for use in France?

A: Yes, the Apple 35W Dual USB Type-C Port Compact Power Adapter is compatible with 110-240 V power, but it uses a North American plug, so you'll need a European plug adapter like the Watson 2-Prong USA to 2-Prong Europe Power Adapter Plug, B&H WAAPUSAE.

Q: 10. Does this tripod head have a single knob for both pan and tilt (like the old Gitzo 1720?) or does it have two separate knobs? Thank you

A: For all intents, and purposes it would be considered one knob inside of another knob. So it is one whole knob, technically.

[Aluminum] I mounted this optic on a Wilson Combat AR15. Perfect match. Great for close range or distance. First day out , I shot 50 yd to 200 yds. It was great.

[1.25 lb] I put over a 1,000 rounds with this scope in three days and couldn't ask for a more accurate scope. The clarity is great, the illumination works really well for my old eyes, and reticle is accurate for .300 BO. Even the wife and daughter were hitting bullseyes. The only thing I changed was the mount to a Midwest Industries QD mount. I'd buy it again and probably will.

[16 mm] This was my first purchase with B&H. The entire sales process was fantastic. I was looking for a very hard to find Trijicon ACOG with the Red Chevron M193 Reticle. The price was very competitive. The product shipped to me on time as promised. B&H followed with me during the whole process. I will definitely buy from B&H again. I would also purchase a Trijicon ACOG again. I am very Happy!

[16 mm] Received the optic earlier than the forecasted available date. BH delivered the item within 2 days and the product arrived with no issues. As for the ACOG and rmr combo, the ACOG has excellent glass and I truly enjoyed zeroing the red cross hair. (Downloaded The PDF manuals on trijicons website). The only part I disliked about the combo was the position of the RMR, because to zero the RMR on top of the ACOG I would have to change my sight alignment and lift my head up to see the RMR. Do to the current Unavailability of offset mounts, I was not able to purchase one prior to zeroing the ACOG. Regardless, the combo is great and once an offset mount is available, I will test and zero the RMR.

[1.25 lb] I have never served in the military.... but I have hunted in North Mississippi for 30 years and this is by far the best rifle sight ive ever owned. Buy this sight you will not be sorry. I particularly like the red horseshoe. its so bright and clear. Anytime someone picks up my rifle and looks through the sight they make a comment on how much they like the sight. I'm glad they do not know how much it costs... but as the old saying goes... you get what you pay for.

[1.5x] I have been using Trijicon ACOGs since the early 1990s and have never been disappointed. I use a quick release and the zero never changes. This one has fiber optics and tritium for illumination so it easy to center and shoot.
