    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it support 2 4k HDR monitors? I only get 4k, but no HDR on my current setup.

A: The OWC USB Type-C to Dual HDMI 4K Display Adapter with DisplayLink BH #OWCCADPDL2HD does not support HDR.

Q: 2. Hello !! One question: if I made a mistake in a datapath model you can ask for the change

A: To exchange an item please contact our: B&H Customer Service Team: Call: 800.221.5743 or 212.239.7765 Email : cs@bhphotovideo.com

Q: 3. The product dip switches are white over a dark background. The instructions are painted on the product white and dark. For example, 480i/59.94 is painted all white on top. The printed instructions for DIP Switch Settings are all black on the top. Which is correct? It's confusing.

A: I looked at both the Lumantek Unit and the manual and I see why you may be confused. On the orange case, solid white blocks mean on, framed boxes with orange showing through means off. In the manual, solid black boxes mean on, framed boxes with white showing through means off. Lay the manual next to the converter-on the back of the converter, the first 4 boxes are solid white in the up position for 480 AND the manual has the first 4 boxes as solid black in the up position for 480. So the rule of thumb is: Solid White boxes on the converter is the same as solid black boxes in the manual. I use 1080i59.94, so in my configuration, 1 is up, 2 and 3 are down and 4 is up. So that is 1, solid white, 2, boxed orange, 3, boxed orange and 4, solid white. In the manual, that would be 1, Solid black, 2, boxed black, 3, boxed black and 4, solid black. I hope that helps you.

    Q: 4. Does this support a framerate of 23.976 genlock for 4k?

A: Yes, the DATAPATH Fx4 Display Controller with Four HDMI Outputs (B&H# DAFX4H) can accept Genlock Input from any video input on HDMI 1, HDMI 2, or using the DisplayPort. Please note that there is a maximum of 165MPixels/s. It can also do so on an analog black-burst basis using the BNC connector.

Q: 5. I have an IPAD pro 12.9 inch and the Mac mini M2 does this work between them?

A: The Astropad Luna Display HDMI Adapter is only compatible with Windows PCs. The Astropad Luna Display USB Type-C Adapter (BH #ASLUDSPLUSBC) is compatible with both PC and Mac computers.

Q: 6. Can I use it to share internet from my PC to my Phone? or in other words is it just a WiFi receiver or also transmitter?

A: The ASUS Wireless-AC1200 Dual-Band PCIe Wifi Adapter with Bluetooth 4.2 Connectivity is a wifi card. It is bidirectional, and is generally used to connect to a router, or access point.

Q: 7. if i broke the wire to the antenna where to i go to replace it?

    A: https://www.asus.com/us/support/

Q: 8. Is it required to use the little black antenna to get a connection ?

A: Yes, you would need to attach the antenna for this card to function properly.

Q: 9. What size DC power connector does this come with? I’d like to get a USB to DC cable to use a battery with it.

A: The size of the power connection barrel is not listed, nor are we aware of a USB to DC power cable. However you could look in to using a Power Bank that has an AC outlet connection. The Xcellon 12,000mAh Power Bank with AC and USB Outlets would be a great choice to power this product on the go, B&H # XCPB1200AC. https://bhpho.to/2jX8gSA

Q: 10. Can I use this to have a total of 4 4k outputs on a Mac Mini M2 Pro? 2 from this device and 2 directly from the mini?

A: The Mac Mini M2 Pro can connect to a maximum of three external displays, regardless of external hubs or docks.

[Red] I’ve been using Luna display for years to make my iPad work as a second display when I’m traveling, that is a subscription for $80/year. This little device is a one time cost and did the same thing, I just pack it in my travel bag and boom I’ve got a 13 inch display ready to go. Love the concept and execution

[0.07 lb] I got this test long SDI runs for signal which so far does a great job at. Dip switches in the back to change settings. Being a Converter and scaler that I can use in a pinch is a bonus.

[2.6 x 2.55 x 1"] I own 2 of these devices. I've used them very often, both as signal testers and as replacements for converters on shows. Great buy.

[1x HDMI Input ] GUI is intuitive and it was very easy to set up and get working. Remote control over RS232 and/or telnet also worked flawlessly. My only caveat is that changing between matrix switching mode (full screen output from single switchable source) and multiviewer mode is slow and certainly not seamless, but this is probably not an issue in most use cases.

[2.6 x 2.55 x 1"] This amazing device, not much bigger than my little finger nail, allows me to use a 27, 2010 iMac as an second monitor for my M3 Apple Studio setup that employs an Asus ProArt 32 4K as a main monitor. Setup was a breeze and only has to be done once, allowing the connection to remain intact as computers are shut down and reopened.

[0.07 lb] I was very annoyed when I learned that my new M2 MacBook Pro only supported a single external display and started investigating solutions. My research indicated that DisplayLink was necessary and this product was the most inexpensive one I could find. I already had the DisplayLink software installed when I received it, so I plugged it into my laptop and monitors and it worked instantly. Been using it about a week now with no complaints.
