[Aluminum] I needed to run a USB cable from my computer to another device .. but the other device was about 30 feet away and normal USB just won't work at those distances. This little device allows you to run USB over a CAT5 (or CAT5e or CAT6) cable .. over a hundred feet. It plugs into a USB jack on the computer, thru an adapter to CAT5 cable, and on the other end connects to a small powered adapter and back to USB .. Works fine. A great way to extend the reach of USB. Completely transparent to the computer and to the external device .. no software required. Just connect and use. 5

[10.1 x 7.7 x 3"] I'm going to be using this with 13 Chromebooks, but I tested with a 15 laptop (15.6 screen technically) and discovered you can remove another layer from the bottom of the slots to allow for even larger machines. I like the slot size and the extra large slot for chargers/etc is quite spacious. 5
