Styled in white, this pair of JBL Control 16C/T 6.5" Ceiling Speakers - White Pairare designed to suit a variety of spaces, such as cafes, places of business, airport lounges, reception areas, court rooms, and more. They feature a 2-way coaxial design, giving you a 6.5" cone driver and a 0.75" soft-dome, liquid-cooled tweeter. With their coaxial construction, these speakers deliver a more consistent sound off-axis, which is a benefit for environments in which indirect listening takes place.

The drivers themselves are designed using a high-temperature anodized aluminum voice coil former and high-temperature voice coil to ensure a reliable performance throughout years of continuous use. Butyl rubber encloses the drivers, offering further durability, as well as sonic damping. The cone itself is resistant to both water and humidity. Thanks to a FEA-optimized motor construction, the Control 16C/T achieves a smooth frequency response.

Installation is made possible via the removable locking connector, within which you'll find screw terminals for wire termination, as well as loop-thru points for furthering signal to more speakers. Dual conduit clamps employed to provide strain relief to both the input and loop-output cables. You can use the speaker to handle 8-Ohm loads, or as part of a 70V / 100V distributed loudspeaker system with a 30W multi-tap transformer.

These speakers ship with two tile rail supports, as well as a C-ring support backing plate, cutout template, paint shield, and grille. On the top of the speaker you'll find a safety seismic attachment ring.

Q: 4. I'm impressed with JBL Control Contractor Series. I'm planning to have a set of speakers to build up a home theater from this series. However, I'm missing the center channel which I don't have any clue how to replace this position from control contractor series. Then, I'm going to the 2nd issue which is the subwoofer it's PASSIVE & it won't work with AV receiver. Control 19CS come in pair subwoofer, I thought may be subwoofer plate amplifier going to solve this issue but I'm sure. It seems that it won't going to work. Does any body have a suitable solution to my concern?

[91 dB] Great small format in-ceiling speakers. The sealed and ported enclosure protects them and provides a consistent bass response, unlike open back speakers. 70volt or 8ohm operation for a wide variety of commercial and residential applications. and... they sound good!

[27 x 14 x 12"] We recently remodeled our house and added 4 if these to our living room area. We love how they sound and watching movies with them makes you feel as if we are at the theater up the street. Listening to sports on them makes you feel as if you are in the arena watching the game. I'm am now getting on the site to order some outdoor speakers because I feel I cant go wrong with Polk by the pool as well.

[91 dB] I have a small 10'x5' bathroom but also have a small flat panel tv that is about 7' from the shower so I can't hear it. I bought a single RC6s, installed it about 1' away from the shower (these are supposed to tolerate high humidity) and connected it to an audio engine N22 amp. I hooked up the tv and also an old smartphone with Pandora and I now have an awesome bathroom setup. Great sound for a single in-ceiling speaker. Some songs come across "boomy" that have a lot of bass but that is nit-picking. Does anyone else even offer a 2 channel ceiling speaker?

[91 dB] I use these on new homes and the Builders love them. Ladies love the sound over a garden tub with relaxation music. They are very practical anywhere in a home. The stereo imaging is accurate and stimulates conversation as everyone wonders where the other speakers are. I will use these on every new constrution job. They are outstanding

[24 lb] I purchased these in ceiling speakers for my covered patio area. Very clear sound and good bass response. The only thing I’m not a fan of is that the grill is not magnetic but has still not fallen out so overall I’m very happy with my purchase.

[24 lb] I use these speakers in meeting rooms of various sizes and for several purposes such as lectures, symposia, music playback, and movies. They are installed in drop ceilings, which, of course, has its drawbacks, but the response and delivery of these speakers is outstanding. I wouldn't think of going with another choice except to upgrade to the 47c/t in rooms that can handle more bass. response.
