The VariZoom Cinema Pro Remote Head and Jibstick Jr Kit is a sophisticated and powerful motion control system for videographers. The kit includes the Cinema Pro Remote Head and Jibstick Jr. Controller. It also comes with a 50' control cable, 30' XLR power extension, power supply, and case.

The Jibstick Jr is a streamlined manual controller that allows precise, tunable pan and tilt motion. It uses a precision thumb control joystick on a compact handgrip control box. All controls and settings are within reach of your fingertips. The Jibstick Jr works beautifully where intuitive manual control is needed, and it can be upgraded later with an advanced console and pan bars or hand wheels (sold separately). It allows you to reverse the direction of pan & tilt independently, adjust speed limits for pan & tilt independently, adjust joystick deadband, and set smoothing control for softer starts & stops.

The Cinema Pro Remote Head is constructed from exoskeletal body sections that are CNC machined from solid billet aluminum to exacting standards, ensuring rigidity and structural integrity. The custom slip rings, rugged slip-ring base, and robust motor drives are designed and tested intensively to perform even under demanding conditions. The remote head is suitable for big budget motion pictures and also for worship facilities, sports, concerts, newsrooms, military, government, and other film, video, and HD applications.

A: The weight bar for all Quickjibs and Cranes is 1" in diameter. Any standard weights from a sporting goods store should work just fine.

Q: 5. How wide is the base of the dolly?

A: The width of the VariZoom VZ-D100 Heavy Duty Dolly for Jibs is about 39 inches.

Q: 6. "Except for full motion control capability, the Jibstick Jr manual kit has all of the electromechanical performance of other kits." What does this mean? Does it come with the ability to pan and tilt? The line "except for full motion control" gives me the impression that pan and tilt ability are limited in some way?

A: According to VariZoom, full motion control means repeatability, being able to stop and start in the same programmed position, know where the head is, or repeat actions over and over. This kit has the same pan and tilt capability as the others, but the controller has no positional data, so it is a live manual controller only with speed and smoothing control. Also does not have built-in lens control.

Q: 7. Does this work with Canon G50 or similar LANC style remote controlled cameras?

A: You most certainly will be able to use a camcorder like the G50 on this jib. However the remote included will not control the zoom on the camera. A: Yes, the DJI Ronin 2 3-Axis Handheld/Aerial Stabilizer can mount to the VariZoom QuickJib with Extension and operate upright when using the Ronin 2 universal mount.

Q: 9. Can the snap crane (8 or 9') be adapted to mount on a 100 mm bowl tripod? I want to set my pivot point closer to three feet from the ground.

A: No, it's not possible to mount this over 100 lbs. precisely balanced VariZoom SnapCrane9 9' Crane & Pan/Tilt System (B&H# VAVZSC9) on a 100mm bowl tripod. However, using the included tripod you can certainly dip the height of the camera to even below the height of the floor -- say, into a hole or over a cliff. In fact, in the video on this page you can see that the operator cranes down below the height of the surface on which the tripod is positioned and into the water of a swimming pool.

I purchased this time VZQUICKJIB is superior in cost performance. Were tested in ENG CAMERA, but its operation was smooth rigidity is also high Unfortunately the only one point because thinner than Japanese standard bar of the weight Processing that was necessary I'm happy with the other 5

We use the jib to expand the range of shots on a talk/variety show. It is well made, quick and easy to set up, and is highly portable for field use. Accessories like a 4' extension and a servo head expand its capabilities even more. This is the fourth piece of VariZoom gear we've gotten in the past 10 years, and I've always been very pleased with the durability, functionality, price, and responsive customer service. 5

This is a very nice jib. All parts are stout and capped with aluminum fitting rather than plastic plugs as I have seen on most other jibs. Tripod and dolly are also very strong and nicely finished. The MC50 very smooth panning and tilting via a thumb joystick. The MC50 remote head will handle about 15-20 pounds but the jib itself will handle much more. No problems all good so far and I was referred by another happy Quick jib owner with a heavier Varizoom remote head. 5

This is a very well made product and well thought out as well. Every part looks precision made and fits beautifully together and breaks down easily as well. Smooth and stabile (no bounce as with cheaper jibs) this is old school and will out last the life of the owner and pass to another generation and I can't say that about many products made today. Do watch the videos available and visit the manufacturers site to see sections up close. I can tell you there are some jibs if you saw them up close you would run. Even the custom case is of very high quality with a very high quality material. 5

I did a ton of research before purchasing a jib they all had features I wanted & ones that were a bummer. This jib had all the good ones & one unique feature none of the rest had at all; the brake. When you take your hands of the jib it doesn't go slamming into the floor, or if you find yourself wanting to lock it into one height & just use the pivot instead you can. Set up is a snap thanks to the tethered push pins (you'll never search for a missing bolt again) it can be ready to use in about two minutes (seriously it's that easy). The ball bearings inset in the pivot make raising or lowering butter smooth, panning is just as sweet. There is a hole in the handle just above the weight bar I added a 3/8x 3 inch bolt to attach my monitor so follow shots are a breeze. I purchased the MC100 pan & tilt motorized head also which is another WOW the shots are incredible. Excellent quality, sturdy build, assembles quickly, includes bag, amazing price. I simply couldn't be happier. Add a couple of velcro straps for cable routing & you are golden. 5

super easy set-up and to balance. the movable weight bar is such an added bonus. allowing you to use the jib in tight spaces, and to fine-tune the balance. the need for no tools to set up is just the best. my jonyjib takes several different size wrenches and longer to set-up. I plan on getting the add on length now that I see just how fast and what a versitle jib this is. very smooth pan and tilt and love the break adjustment on it. really can't say enough. well made and very decent bag comes with it. 5

This was purchased with a MC-100 remote head, which I would deem a neccesity given the length and reach of the jib. Out of the box, it is very smooth in all axes and feels solidly constructed. The included dolly and tripod are of similar quality, and the entire package goes together smoothly. One surprise, indicated in the directions, was that the jib isn't desinged to be built at the shorter length. As the pivot section has the requisite holes (but no end plate, as on the extension), I plan to try building it in the short configuration anyway. Our first shoot with the jib was liberating - we had it up and running quickly and were able to make use of it indoors and out. Instant production value! I had considered purchasing the more expensive jib from VariZoom, but am quite content with this one - an excellent value for the money. The supplied bags are nice but don't feel like they will stand up to a lot of abuse (one of the rubber feet has already detached). 5

I agree with all of the other reviews and ratings. Extremely well made and a bargain at the price. I looked at others and nothing really comes close to the quality build with very well made brake, and boom and super smooth heavy duty pivoting base. 5
