The 5.5" long aluminum bar features a NATO rail and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads along its length.

On one end there is a female ARRI rosette with an M6 center thread, providing a mounting point for a rosette handgrip or handle that can rotate 360°. On the other end, a NATO clamp and a shoe mount allow you to mount the bar on another NATO rail and add a variety of accessories to your rig.

A: Yes, the Kondor Blue NATO Rail to Hot Shoe Adapter for Remote Trigger Top Handles (B&H# KOKBNRHSA) has a 1/4 inch female thread in the bottom. However, the way this adapter works is that you slide the foot into a cold or hot shoe and then use the included hex wrench to tighten the top screw, thereby securing the adapter in place so that it doesn't twist or jiggle. It would be less secure if simply connected to a male 1/4 inch thread on the bottom.

Q: 4. Will this fit on top of the wing grip for the red Komodo?

[0.22 lb] This is a well machined and unique quick-secure Rosette. All other Rosettes require a 2nd mechanical tension lever, or are set-screwed in place without adjustment capability. This rosette fixes in place by the simple action of securing your mating rosette accessory. (It pulls up an extended double rail base against the NATO rail.) That action both secures the accessory and allows for quick repositioning of the rosette along the NATO rail. It is fast and secure with a very minimal profile and can be done with one hand after the initial installation depending on the accessory. Their customer service responded directly to my pre-purchase inquiry with detailed information. (I could not tell how it worked and was asking to see why it did not require a lever like all other rosettes.) I highly recommend this product... and anything else 8Sinn makes. I am crazy-picky about these details in my Kit. This is smart tech and is well crafted. 5

[0.22 lb] This is by far my favorite side handle. Not only does it feel good in my hand, I like that it sticks forward a little instead of being exactly at the side of the camera cage. It's just a more comfortable way to hold it, especially at lower angles. I've bought two for both of my handheld rigs, and everyone that has used it agrees it's the best they've used. 5

[Aluminum] As usual, the folks at SmallRig offer up another strongly built, well-machined doodad for my camera rig (this time for re-positioning my EVF). The locking mechanism is smooth and once engaged, rock solid. 5
