Add quiet, motorized panning control to your camera rig with the YC Onion Burger SE Motorized Pan Head. This 360° motorized panning system is controllable remotely via an iOS/Android app that supports camera rigs up to 33 lb. It pairs well with the YC Onion Chocolate SE motorized slider to create smooth pans, even when controlling it by hand. At just over 1 lb, its compact form and durable aluminum construction make it perfect for shooting in the field, and its ultraquiet motor fits right into a studio shoot.

Featuring a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting hole on the bottom and a 1/4"-20 threaded screw on top, the panning head includes a 1/4"-20 to 3/8"-16 bushing and an adapter for the bottom mount, allowing it to mount on 3/8"-16 threaded screws. This allows you to use the motor on virtually any tripod/slider and with most cameras. It is powered using a separately available L-series battery or USB Type-C Power.

[Aluminum Alloy] While my friend's Edelkrone SliderONE is amazing, it's also double the price of this one without gaining double the value. In comparison, you can hear the slider motor more vs. the Edelkrone - so you're not likely to use the audio from your camera. However, if you're using wireless lav mic, or a mic that's boomed, it's not so loud that you'll pick that up. It's ONLY if you're capturing audio on the camera itself.

The app is very easy to use, and connects one the first try without issues. I also like that you can use Sony batteries (NP-F550), or an external battery pack.

Overall, I'm very happy that I saved the money, and went with this over the Edelkrone - especially since I use it here n there and it's not on every job.

[1.635 lb] I was concerned about constantly plugging and unplugging HDMI cables in my YOLO box. They really weren't meant for that type of use. I was also concerned about the possibility of breaking the HDMI jacks should someone trip or otherwise pull on a cable on location. The YC Onion YoloBox Cage solves these concerns and also brings additional functionality.

The cage itself is crafted of beautifully machined and anodized aluminum. It's held together with chrome plated hex-head bolts and secured to the YOLO Box via its 1/4 mounting socket. Hex tools are included, along with extra bolts. The right side of the cage has four 1/4 mounting holes and a cold-shoe mount for accessories. The left side of the cage has four more 1/4 mounting holes, and the bottom has five 1/4 mounting holes and the back has two more additional 1/4 mounting holes. You can mount just about anything you can imagine to the cage.

The top of the cage has aluminum cable stays that hold your cables securely in place. The stays are secured in place with knurled aluminum thumb screws. Everything about this cage is high quality.

I purchased several 6-inch HDMI extension cables that I leave permanently attached to the YOLO Box. This eliminates my concern about wearing out the HDMI jacks from constantly inserting and removing cables. I just plug my long HDMI cables into the extension cables when Im setting up on location.

The YC Onion cage does add a bit of weight and girth to the YOLO Box, and the permanently mounted HDMI extension cables make YOLO a bit less compact. But I knew this going in and it's not an issue for me. I'm entirely pleased with this purchase.

Please note that YC Onion makes a cage specifically for each of the three YOLO Box configurations; original, pro and mini. They are all different cages. Fortunately, B&H stocks cages for each of the YOLO Box configurations.

[Aluminum Alloy] Man, I sure am hungry.

This slider is crazy strong. Took just a couple of minutes.

For anyone trying to figure out how to put the unit in cycle/loop mode:

Once the a and b points are set, click the knob to set, then once again to enter video mode. You'll see it says "once".

Double tap the power button quickly and you'll see that changed to cycle.

Not sure if it said that in the manual or not, because the manual itself is pretty basic. But like most things in life, enough tinkering and you'll get it. Overall great slider, the 39" one is HUGE. Also, if you shoot product video like me and need to do manual slides, this has a perfect "smooth friction", if you will.

Compatibility with a gimbal is dope, too. Gonna be using it with my Crane 3 LAB. If you're using a RS2, don't forget to buy the little Bluetooth adapter.
