[1x 3.5"] As a reseller, I am concerned mainly by two things, the first is to receive a good quality items corresponding exactly to the description and the second to receive them fast !

[1x 15-Pin SATA] Works great - the bottom PTAP port isn't wired, but that is a known thing with this model. It isn't really a problem as my wooden camera backplate for my camera has another port as well and this one has a working Ptap port on the top as well.

[Yes] Pleasantly surprised at the snugness of the fit when attaching to the primary A/B battery plate. Absolutely no play once seated. In fact you have to give it a bit of a bump with the heal of your hand to get it to engage. Consider this a feature. One edge of the back plate curls around 90 degrees and is setup to accept a BEC plate if you so choose. The unit aside from providing hotswap functionality allows you to create a decent counterweight with batteries rather than dead weight which is useful to both the ENG or Steadicam Operator. Like many things relating to camera rigs, the pricing is stratospheric but the utility is so good that it is worth the cost in the end. This is one of those bits.

[15 mm] My Super Micro has only 4@ 3.5" internal drives but the SEAX11 system board supports 8 SATA ports. This drive cage gives me devices for the other 4 ports.
� I now have two BIOS selectable boot systems each in RAID-1 configuration. No data is stored on this storage, just the boot configuration which is quite small compared to today's 2.5" drive capacities.

[0.95 lb] Is working great in my HP Z820, was able to use 4 SSD in RAID 0 and it is blasing fast! Almost 1GB/s. Plastic feel a bit week but since it sit in place, should not cause any issue.

[0.95 lb] fits 3 drives into the space of two CD drives, great space saver, nice hot swap, sturdy built, fast delivery. Simple to use, great for throw a drive in backup video data/system take it out and secure deposit it off site. easy to install, good capacity.

[15 mm] ... I installed Windows 10 64 bit on my PC. Nothing hot swap about it now that I can find. Under Windows 7 64 bit it was genuinely hot swap. It was the simplest thing to install and use.
With Win 10 I need to power off the PC, remove the HDD installed, insert the required HDD and power on again. I can't find a solution so this is a last resort :-( . From what I've found it is a problem with Win 10 not the device. Nonetheless, with 4 HDDs ranging from 3 to 6 TB, it is a pain in the sitting apparatus it won't hot swap now.
If there is a solution I'd love to know what it is.

[1x 5.25"] I've been using these hot swap drive bays for many years, we've sold hundreds of them with all the PC's we build.

They have gotten better as time went by, but the best improvement was made recently. Startech added clip retainer slots for the SATA cables. Now when we connect the SATA cables the clips "click" and stay securely in place. Before this improvement we had to perform a number of techniques to hold the cables in place. This was always the weak link in our systems.

Way to go Startech, you are definitely listening and improving your products!

[Yes] this plate is really well made, the AB batts mount nice and snug, the p tap port is very useful. For alexa minis and reds, that are tend to be lightweight rigs, two batteries on the back gives the camera a better balance, especially on handheld and steadicam. Obviously, the hot swap function is a must.

[1x 7-Pin SATA] I bought this because I am transitioning from spinning disks to 2 1/2 inch SSDs and when this arrived I was impressed by how well it was made, its ease of installation and the fact that for 4 SSDs I only needed 1 power cord thus reducing some of the clutter of cables inside my case by 3.   The fan has 3 settings, automatic, low and high and is attached to the rear of the unit and really quiet.   Good price for a great little unit.
