A: Canon has a great system in this respect. You will remove the battery and the battery door from your 70D. The battery door then slips into a well designed little compartment on the new grip. Your then insert the grip into the 70 D and tighten the attached mounting screw. (No parts to store or loose) This grip with two batteries will increase time between charging beyond two times normal battery life! I can't imagine my camera without it.
