20 V] Fantastic product! With this attached, the R5C goes from a great camera with compromises into one of the most compact, capable platforms for hybrid photo/video -- almost the perfect camera!


The Core has a professional quality build with a rugged plastic case, and a serviceable, METAL v-mount!! The handy LCD screen showing power level & time remaining is backlit, easy to read, and quickly becomes indispensable, making you wonder how you lived with the usual button-push indicators.


When pairing the R5C with the Core SWX PB Edge Link, I recommend the SmallRig Black Mamba cage specifically designed for the deeper body. The additional baseplate extension allows you to position the battery forward or aft, depending on how much lens weight you'd like to counterbalance.


Seen next to the A7 IV, the R5C with the Core PB attached is near the same height & width as the Sony with the portrait bottom attached. It's very comfortable to work with and it lowers the CG when using a monitor, which is great for comfort, and it gives the rig a steady cam feel when doing low-slung shots with the top-handle attached.


Bottomline, I was seriously considering returning the R5C as I didn't want to be stuck having to constantly rig it up, especially when traveling. After using this battery in conjunction with the R5C I am extremely satisfied with both of these tools, and I can now travel with one camera body that does it all -- and a battery that powers it for hours at a time!!

20 V] This piece of tech is awesome. Bought this to use with an R5 C. Powered a 503 smallhd, two onboard lights, and the body. Amazing - worked flawlessly - highly recommended! Rolling 8k no problem thanks to this great piece. Only one meh - the removable tripod plate is pretty weak, I wouldn't put too much weight on it.

That being said, super easy to detach and attach.

20 V] I’m using 3 of these batteries for DJI Osmo Action cameras. I know the price of these batteries is quite high for the purpose I’m using these for, but I’m perfectly ok with it because of the peace of mind these batteries provide, while in the field. I can record for 5:30 hours nonstop at 4K 60p and many hours longer than that for timelapse, while using a 256GB U3 microSD card. I even made custom rain bags for all 3 of my Osmo Action rigs. I was lucky to get a really good sale price prior to the holidays. I like that this came with a charger but I didn’t need the Canon battery adapter. When I bought this, this particular package was cheaper than just the battery. Weird but oh well. Great product nonetheless!!!

[14.8 VDC] I'd been using the smaller version of this battery to power my MixPre 6 and Zoom F4. Love having two D-taps, and now having the USB-C port capable of powering the MixPre.


This battery will run both devices for essentially a whole day, and the V-mount and 1/4-20 plate makes it easy to attach the whole rig to a stand.

[70 Wh] I film indie wrestling shows around the country, and these battery packs give us 8 hours of usage on the Panasonic AG-CX10 using the AG-VBR dummy battery adapter. The mounting plate is also hot swappable, and has a fake quarter underneath for unscrewing the camera, which makes teardown after a shoot a breeze.

I use this pack in combination with a monopole and a Ulanzi Claw quick release between the pole and the EDGE for our roaming cameras. It's light-weight enough for the camera guys to hold for hours without getting fatigued.

They do drain a bit in the stand-by mode (5% over 3-4 days), so I recommend topping it off before a shoot. Also, the full power-save mode is annoying, but I just keep a spare USB battery pack/120 adapter along to charge it (or a SIM card tool on my keychain to push the reset button on the PTAP). It'd be nice if they included a sim tool in the base along with the fake quarter.

20 V] The battery life on the Blackmagic is a hinderance for sure so this powerbase really comes in handy for when you need to film one long continuous event without stopping

[3 A (USB-A)] As you will see in the reviews, this battery HAD 2 flaws. 1. A weak spring, holding the quick release plate. The manufacturer fixed it. Now it is much stronger. 2. The battery would go to sleep after 48 hours so if you didn't have a charger, you couldn't wake it up. They also fixed this. Now if it sleeps you just have to use a paper clip to hit a reset button where the P-Tap terminal is. This is an awesome battery and it's back by a great company who provides excellent support!
