Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this work to connect a sound board to a tascam audio recorder or a scarlet red audio interface?

A: Hi Samuel. If you are looking to send audio from a Tascam recorder or Scarlet Red interface to the soundboard, this unit should do the trick for you. If you are looking to send audio from the soundboard into those devices, you will need a different assembly that features dual female XLR connectors or others for connecting to the board outputs, and it also might require circuitry to ensure that the audio level is correct for the units its being sent to, depending on what those units call for. Thank you!

Q: 2. Does this send the same signal to both left and right inputs on the camera?

A: Yes. The Kopul XRSM-10B will send a signal from a 3-pin XLR to the left and right channels of a camera. Be mindful of the differences between line and mic, as a line signal will overload a mic input and cause distortion.

Q: 3. Does this adapter work for 5-Pin DMX?

A: The Sescom NHA5F5F 5-Pin Female to 5-Pin Female Inline Adapter Barrel is an audio inline adapter, and it does not work with 5-pin DMX protocol devices.

Q: 4. can this be used with microphones requiring plug in power? Not 48v phantom, but 1-3v?

A: This cable is intended to be used with dynamic mics and self-powered (battery) condenser mics.

Q: 5. What is the coiled length of the 13.8"-39.4" cable for this product?

A: The coiled length of the 13.8 to 39.4" version of the CAMVATE Male to Quad Female D-Tap Hub with Coiled Cable & USB/DC Outputs (11.8 to 29.5") would be 13.8".

Q: 6. I want to record audio and video into my iPhone 5. can this product connect from the XLR output of a wireless lav into the iphone?

A: Yes, you may plug your LAV into the XLR port and the 1/8th inch into your iPhone and your headphones into the 1/8 inch port.

Q: 7. Could this be used to monitor sound recordings if it was used with a DSLR camera 3.5 mm Mic input?

A: This cable is designed for use with smartphones that feature both headphone and mic on a single jack. Since a DSLR mic input only offers input and no headphone capability, this cable will not work.

Q: 8. How is this wired? Will it downmix stereo headphone output to mono XLR? Is right + tied to left +, and is ground tied to -?

A: If you are looking to connect from a headphone output, you would actually need an adapter like B&H # KORSMXM015 , which has a male XLR output. That would mix the stereo signal down to mono. For separate left and right audio, you would need a Y-cable like B&H # KOSMYCM2XM03 .

Q: 9. Could this be used to record directly from a mixer's XLR out to an iPhone or iPad?

A: Yes. That is the purpose of this cable.

Q: 10. Can i use this cable with my sennheiser mke 600 to record on to my sony ICD-PX333 Digital Flash Voice Recorder?

A: This should work with your recorder as published.

[24 AWG] Needed to replace some older cables and these were readily available. Work great and a great price in comparison to Clear Com name brand, which were on back order.

[Polyethylene] This 6-pin cord was hard to find. But found it at B&H. It fits the microphone I needed it for and thats all one could ask. Its 25'. I wished there were more choices as I would have opted for a shorter length.

[Neutrik] Used the cables a few days ago, jointed 3 - 50' cables together, they work fine, no added noise.
