[Full Frame] Very happy with this lens, gorgeous cinematic landscape and portrait. Very sharp lens. I use the lens for photography paired with Sony a7riii and a7riv. I do not shoot videos at all.

[82 mm x 0.75] Just shot a very low light concert with this lens and wow, really looks amazing.

[Canon RF] This lens is awesome, and produces clean images with real cinematic effects. I have the entire set (35mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 135mm, 150mm plus the 1.25 adapter that produces a 2x squeeze when paired with the 1.6x anamorphic squeeze of the lenses). The lenses produce uniform colors all throughout the set, and images are sharp wide open at T2.9. Somehow SIRUI has managed to make these primes sharp wide open, but not too sharp, given you that movie like look without any diffusion filters on the front of your lens. If you haven't tried the anamorphic look, you have no idea what your projects are missing. As result of purchasing this set, my G Masters and spherical Cine primes are collecting dust. The SIRUI 1.6x T 2.9 Venus Anamorphic lenses are a great set of glass.

[Canon RF] Excellent budget anamorphic lens. It works exceptionally well with my Sony A7sIII full frame camera. The Viltrox DC-X3 on camera monitor just complements the whole setup. It has exec 1.6 de-squeeze factor to help you compose every shot.

[Full Frame] I have all four lenses. Red Komodo creates Beautiful footage combine with this Lenses. 24, 35 need to be cropped in postproduction.

[4.175 lb] I've been re-using my existing photo primes with my video camera, but when I discovered anamorphic I immediately knew that I must have one -- I love that look. So this has been my first dedicated cinema lens -- that is, not something that was originally meant for still photos.

Since I don't have other cinema lenses yet, I can't say how this compares to others. But I can definitely say that it's a dramatic difference from photo lenses! The size is impressive, and the adjustment rings are far more useful to me than anything I've used before. I'm looking forward to adding follow-focus.

I think the 1.3x ratio is probably just a bit less impressive than the exaggerated effect that I was perhaps hoping for, but nonetheless it still looks great -- especially for the price.


All in all, I am very satisfied with the purchase.
