A: It doesn't change focal length. Just allows four thirds lenses to work on Micro four thirds cameras. Some lenses however, focus better than others with this adapter and I wouldn't recommend attaching heavy lenses to it.

A: No, this is an adaptor for 4/3 (older Olympus and Panasonic) lenses. Vello have two Canon to Micro 4/3 adapters on B&H: one for Canon EF/EF-S lenses and one for Canon FD lenses. However, neither of these provides automatic aperture control, focusing, or exposure metering.

Q: 4. Will summilux lenses work on this adapter? I've a 24mm summilux.

A: This adapter is for using M-mount lenses on a Micro Four Thirds camera (like the Lumix). As the 24mm Summilux is an M-mount lens, it should work with no problem.

A: No, the adapter offers no weather sealed gaskets.

I had a similar experience as the first reviewer. I did not find that the Voightlander was loose, but did notice that there was not a distinct click when the adapter was mounted on the camera. I did not realize that I would need to use a piece of plastic to hold the aperture of the lens open with the Voightlander, while the Novaflex has a ring on the outside that lets you adjust the aperture manually. I was afraid that the little snippit of credit card wedged in the aperture control of the lens might some day work loose and scratch the sensor on my G1, so I decided to go with the Novaflex. The machining on the inside doesn't look perfect, but the adapter fits snugly and functions perfectly. 5

Backfocus dimension is eerily perfect, seems to reach infinity exactly at the infinity stop on the lens. Slightly worrying: what if it doesn't quite reach infinity? On the other hand, why argue with perfection? This appears to be a single piece of metal, finished inside and out with some matte black anodizing or paint. Slightly worrying: what if it wears off and leaves black dust inside the camera? Chrome plated wearing surfaces would be more reassuring. But again, no actual sign of a problem. Orientation of the lens when screwed on: quite acceptable, pretty close to centered. Fortunate, since it can't be adjusted. Price: surprisingly low for something from this premium brand. So, hey, seems like by far the best option out there for this kind of adapter. 5

The Novaflex adapter has let me use my wonderful really old Pentax M42 50mm macro lens again, on my Panasonic GF1 and GH2. With the crop factor of 2, the lens becomes a 100 mm in 35mm terms, a very convenient focal length for macro work. The build quality on the adapter is excellent. 5

I heeded the comments of the first 2 reviews and purchased this more expensive adapter. I just bought into MFT format and got the Lumix GX7. I've been having fun manual focusing all my Pentax lenses with this adapter. Images came out great especially with the FA 43, FA 31and the DA 50-135. Well worth every penny. 5

Very good lens adapter for use with the Panasonic AG-AF100. If you own lots of lens it's a must have to broaden your choices. Very tight fit, well machined and solid. John Jenkins. @ 5

Setting my Panasonic to aperture priority, I can now use a beautiful Leitz lens. Focusing is manual but the center focusing-aid window I can turn on gives much better focusing ability than the match-image of rangefinders or the ground glass image of reflex cameras. Much sharper focus plus the quality of the Leitz image. The precision of the Voigtlander adapter makes me want to replace the other adapters I bought with more Voigtlanders. The Nikkor to M4/3 lens adapter of another brand is especially sloppy - I can't wait to use my great Nikkors with a precision Voigtlander. 5

Very sturdy, simple, and efficient. I've used this with my Voigtlnader Heliar 15mm and my Leica Summilux lens on my Olympus EP1 and it works perfectly. 5
