Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the inside diameter?

A: It will be a few thousandth of an inch under 85 mm. That provides slip on at low effort with grip strength from the resilience of the plastic material snug on the outside of the lens barrel. Dimension based on outer diameter of barrel not filter thread size.

Q: 2. Hi, Is this made of rigid plastic material or rubberized malleable style?

A: Kaiser 80mm Push-On Lens Cap is not rigid, you can vend the cap if you put enugh force. However it would not fit into larger diameters.

Q: 3. Can you please verify if this cap will fit on a 80mm hasselblad lenses?

A: If the focal length is 80mm, it doesn't mean the cap/filter size is 80mm. It depends on which version of 80mm lens it is. Typically a push on lens cap should be about 2-3mm larger than that of the filter size. For example is the lens has a 77mm filter thread, a 80mm push on cap should work. The older Hassy lenses took Bay 60 filters, that would be about 60mm in diameter , so a 63mm push on cap would probably work.

Q: 4. Will this work on an Olympus C-210 teleconverter?

A: As the Olympus C-210 teleconverter has been discontinued and is no longer available, and I see no specifications listed for the unit online, I would simply have to recommend to measure the outer diameter of the teleconverter in millimeters (or convert your available measurement into millimeters). If the outer diameter measures between 56-58mm, then it should fit. If not, you would have to find the size that is equal or slightly larger than your outer diameter measurement.

Q: 5. Does this fit the Leica APO-Summicron-M 35mm f/2?

A: The Leica APO-Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH lens (Black) has an outer diameter of 53 mm, so the Kaiser 53mm Push-On Lens Cap should fit.

Q: 6. Which lens cap fits the Magfilter 42mm (mounted on RX100 iii)?45mm or 47mm push-on?I've measured the outside filter diameter: 46mm. Will the 45mm stretch to 46, or the 47 grab on 46?Thanks!

A: While neither of these will fit absolutely securely, you will be better off getting the 47mm push on cap.

Q: 7. Will this replace the ZEISS Objective Cap for 85mm Victory DiaScope Spotting Scope?

A: Yes if you measured the outside diameter of the barrel and it was 85mm

Q: 8. what type of plastic is made of? Is it more like rubber or hard plastic?

A: It's plastic and hard but thin and therefore can flex just enough to grip the front of the lens.

Q: 9. Is this cap fit on the hasselblad zeiss 50mm C f/4?

A: Do not know that is not what it was purchased for.

Q: 10. Will this fit a mamiya medium format 90mm lens?

A: That depends on the exact lens you are using. This is not for lenses with a 90mm Focal Length, but for a lens that have an outside diameter of 90mm. With a vintage lens you will want to use a tape measure to see what the outside diameter is. From there this listing has a drop down menu that shows different sizes, there may be a size that better fits the lens you have.

[0.01 lb] This cap is a perfect fit on a LEE 82mm WA adapter ring. I keep the adapter ring attached to my Zeiss Distagon T* 3,5/18 ZF.2 lens for use with a LEE wide angle lens hood.

[0.01 lb] These covers are super versatile. I use them on scopes that don't have caps designed for them. They fit excellently and stay on until removed.

[Front] I'm actually using this as a cap for my Nikon microscope eyepiece tube. Some older Nikon microscopes use this size, and this fits perfectly. I use these for many of my camera lenses as well, and it fits very well. They fit snugly, but not so snugly you can't get it off when you need to. These have to be one of my favorite caps.

[Slip-On] Wish it was a little cheaper, but it's what I need

[0.01 lb] This cap fits very smoothly and snugly on the B+W 46 mm filters. I love these caps, especially for lens storage. They fit very well and protect lenses well and don't easily fall off and get lost. They are a lot less rattly than the pinch style caps. The only thing with these caps is you have to measure the outer diameter of whatever you need the cap for so you can get the correct cap since these go over the outside of the lens or filter. I also love how these caps fit even if your filter or lens does not have easily accessible or has recessed filter threads. The cap I got now has an updated and more modern looking design embossed on the front of the cap with the modern Schneider Kreuznach logo. Some of the older ones I have have the older logo. You can't go wrong with either. It's subtle and looks at home on the front of any lens from large format lenses to some nicer small or medium format lenses and cameras. The cap is domed, and will protect your lens even if the front element is flush with the top of the filter ring. It's also pretty deep, so it isn't too easy to dislodge it accidentally. It definitely will not come off in your bag. It is easy to take off and put back on if you are using it in the field, but in the field I tend not to use lens caps and just keep my front filter on to protect my lens from sticky fingers and mud. Of course these aren't as perfect as the SK Grimes custom caps, but for the something that comes in standard sizes, and for the price, these are well worth it.

[Front] Works well so far. If you have a tight fitting case it can get caught and get pulled off, but that's true of any push-on cap. Seems a bit expensive, but it was the only option they had.

[0.01 lb] I have a vintage Nikon 500mm mirror lens that was missing the original cap; it's a weird size, 88mm; gave this a try. With a layer of fabric tape on the inside rim or the cap it fits fine.

[Slip-On] The generic lens cap fits well on my old lenses. It is rugged and does not fall off.

[Front] I love the push on caps and after the filter these are the next items that go on all my lenses. They don't get lost. well made. and the pinch type that come with the lenses they are not used
