Shure Glxd6+ Dual-band Wireless Guitar Pedal Receiver

Shure Glxd6+ Dual-band Wireless Guitar Pedal Receiver
  • Product Code: eq119609
  • Availability: In Stock

$777.00 $971.25

Part of the Shure GLX-D+ system and available as an individual component to be used as an additional or backup receiver, or as a replacement unit, the GLXD6+ is a single-channel digital wireless audio receiver compatible with the GLXD1+ bodypack transmitter (available separately). The unit is housed in a rugged metal pedalboard-ready chassis with two fixed faceplate antennas, and it features a built-in tuner with an easy-to-see display.

Shure's next-generation technology automatically scans both the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequency ranges to seek out the best possible digital transmission channel for your performances at a typical operating distance of up to 100' indoors and 65' outside. The system transmits audio with a flat, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and 120 dB of dynamic range, leaving the sound of your instrument unaffected by the wireless components.

A multi-segment LED clearly shows remaining battery life from the paired transmitter and also functions as an easy-to-read tuner. The transmitter's input gain can be wirelessly adjusted right from the receiver's front panel to optimize the audio signal. In addition to a 1/4" instrument output, the unit also features a 1/4" input, allowing you to use it as a wired tuner. A power supply is provided and the DC power input is compatible with standard positive- or negative-tip power supplies, allowing the GLXD6+ to slot right into your pedalboard. Note that even when the unit is plugged in, the display will not activate until a cable is connected to either the 1/4" output or input. A durable footswitch provides instant muting in both the receiver and tuner modes.

  • GLX-D+ Dual-Band Digital Wireless systems operate in both the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequency ranges, automatically scanning both to select the one that offers the higher number of clean channels.
  • The previous GLX-D only worked in the 2.4 GHz range, which offers 83.5 MHz of bandwidth. By expanding into the 5.8 GHz range, the GLX-D+ provides an additional 125 MHz worth of potential open frequencies for available channels, helping to minimize dropouts and enhance reliability.
  • The system offers true digital diversity, which means two antennas and two independent receiver modules work together to reduce RF signal dropouts.
  • In addition, the GLX-D+ transmits on its own main frequency just like a traditional system, but it also transmits on 2 extra "backup frequencies” at the same time. If the system detects interference on the main frequency, it will switch to one of the backups automatically without the user even knowing.
  • Besides the additional spectrum, there are other benefits to in operating in the 5.8 GHz range. In general, there are fewer devices operating in this range, making the spectrum cleaner. The 2.4 GHz range is home for Bluetooth devices and other devices, including Wi-Fi routers and repeaters, security cameras, baby monitors, garage door openers, and more. Operating in this range means competing with these devices for the same space.
  • GLX-D+ receivers typically allow you to run up to 4 transmitters simultaneously in the same space. Under ideal conditions, up to 8 systems can be used.
  • If you need more transmitters at once, consider the GLXDR+ half-rack receiver, which offers removable antennas and can accommodate the GLXD+FMZ3/LC Frequency Manager (available separately). The frequency manager allows up to 11 transmitters to operate simultaneously (16 under highly optimal conditions) making it ideal for installations with multiple wireless systems.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you stream from the XU90 with this device from the camera ?

A: While this will work with the UX90, it is for control through WiFi. The UX90 does not have streaming built in.

Q: 2. Can it control Fujifilm X-T30 camera? Record start/stop?

A: This does not control the camera. Use a smartphone app for that.

Q: 3. Is this compatible with nikon z6?

A: Yes, when output at a 1080p resolution through the HDMI port, the INKEE Benbox should work well with the Nikon Z6.

Q: 4. Can it be charged with a powerbank and be used at the same time?

A: yes this can be powered via the USB-c and used at the same time

Q: 5. CAN I USE THIS WITH THE OLDER MODEL GLXDR 2.4GHZ RECEIVERS SINCE IT'S BOTH 2.4 & 5.8 GHZ? or do i NEED the UA846Z2/LC?

A: The GLXD+FM frequency manager will work with the GLXD4R receivers on the 2.4 GHz frequencies only. The UA846Z2/LC GLX-D Frequency Manager is the usual model recommended for the GLXD4R.

Q: 6. Will it work on the Z6II camera partially or fully including remote camera control?

A: Inkee states that their Benbox is compatible with the Z6 but they have not tested it with the Z6 II. Since the Z6 and the Z6 II are very similar we expect it to work with the Z6 II as well.

Q: 7. Will the C2G 98045 work with the AAXA Technologies M5 900-Lumen WXGA LED Pico Projector that I bought from you last year? If not, what will?

A: Unfortunately the AAXA Technologies M5 900-Lumen WXGA does not support external infrared remote extenders for control of the projector's functions. The best available option would be the included remote control.

Q: 8. How many channels does it operate on? Does it switch channel automatically when it enters interference?

A: this unit operates on Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz, there is no mention from the manufacturer about it's ability or inability to hop channels to avoid interference

Q: 9. So, does the E6 come with the Shure BLX14 Bodypack Wireless System and Countryman E6 Headworn Microphone Kit at $549.00? It shows it does in the description...

A: This kit does include the Countryman E6 headworn mic.

Q: 10. can you view the transmitter ip address, so you can use it through ndi with obs?

A: It cannot. This is designed to work with iOS/Android Devices.

[Pedalboard] Very happy with the Shure receiver -- very little feedback and consistent quality

[208.5 MHz] The MS-50G pedal is first class. It is every bit as clean, quiet, and well built as the Boss pedals. It is not a replacement for the Boss line. Zoom pedals have a character of their own. Personally, I like the Zoom tone. But I'm not a guitar player.

There is a great ~15 minute YouTube instructional video for the MS-50G. I got over the learning curve for writing and storing effects by watching this video, then I bought pedal.

It replaces several pieces of my high quality studio gear when I need fast results that are of high level audio quality.

Zoom delivers with this product. After I watched this video I purchased the pedal. I also like my G1X as a companion to this pedal. The G1X has a nice volume/expression pedal.

[208.5 MHz] First, I love this item . I have a Roland GR55 now. When I have access to AC power, I have a ball with it.
But,
I busk in my town’s Main Street where AC power is not available. Granted, the SY-1 isn’t as sophisticated and the GR 55, but now I can expand my guitars palette of tones.

I had been searching for this item for months. All the typical outlets kept pushing their in stock dates forward in time. I even made a purchase of the SY-1 on eBay, only to have the seller cancel the sale for no apparent reason.
I searched again and saw it listed on B&H. It said it was in stock. I called and was told it was in inventory. A few days later it was in my hands .

Cannot Be too positive about my experience with B&H. They came thru..hands down.

I have shopped with them before, but now, they are my first go to place for music gear.

THANK YOU!!

[Pedalboard] For a pedal that's been around for years, it's very high quality/price ratio. Probably the king of all the budget multi-effect options out there. The interface does take some getting used to, but the sounds you can create with it are solid.

[1] Exactly what we've come to expect from Boss/Roland. Pedal just works. Sounds good and built like a tank. Easy on batteries when you don't want to run power. Priced right.

[Auto-Scan] I've used the Shure SLXD series now at 8 events. They've been great. I bought the rechargeable batteries and I'm getting 7.5 hours out of them. The setup is fast. They scan the open frequencies in less than 10 seconds. Very happy with this series!

[208.5 MHz] I needed something for my living room and practicing while watching TV late at night without a full pedal board or multi-effects box. This along with a Boss RC-3 and a mini mixer for my wireless headphones provides everything I have in my studio at a mini level. The sounds are good enough. There are enough options in sound to play most anything. Eventually I'll try this little beast as a sub for my full pedal board and see how it works in a live jam. One pedal to do everything. It's not perfect but it is great. I wish Zoom would provide updates to it and a better manager. It's pretty old by today's standards and if Zoom provided updated files they would sell even more if these great little boxes.
B&H had the best deal available and as always they provide excellent service. Thank you B&H. I'll Be Back, lol
