The GLXD1+ is equipped with a TA4M connector that allows you to plug in a wide variety of compatible microphones and cables.

Presenters/Performers

  • The WL185 lavalier microphone delivers natural vocal reproduction for presenters, performers, clergy, and lecturers working in high-volume environments.
  • The WL93 omnidirectional lavalier mic offers consistent pickup, even when the performer turns away from the mic.
  • The discreet MX153 miniature earset mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • Shure offers several headset options. Choose a PGA31 headset for everyday applications, or try the SM31 Fitness or SM35 Performance models for more active presentations.

Guitarists

  • The WA302, WA304, and WA305 guitar cables let you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Instrumentalists

  • The WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone attaches to brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments and connects to the bodypack transmitter.

  • GLX-D+ Dual-Band Digital Wireless systems operate in both the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequency ranges, automatically scanning both to select the one that offers the higher number of clean channels.
  • The system offers true digital diversity, which means two antennas and two independent receiver modules work together to reduce RF signal dropouts.
  • In addition, the GLX-D+ transmits on its own main frequency just like a traditional system, but it also transmits on 2 extra "backup frequencies" at the same time. If the system detects interference on the main frequency, it will switch to one of the backups automatically without the user even knowing.

  • The GLXD1+ bodypack transmitter runs on an intelligent SB904 rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included).
  • The battery provides up to 12 hours of continuous use on a full charge.
  • The SB904 battery can be recharged in the GLXDR4+ receiver's charging bay (located on the front panel). The charging bay can also be used to recharge a spare battery while the transmitter is in use.
  • Alternately, the SB904 can be recharged while in the transmitter with a USB charging cable.
  • Just a 15-minute quick charge provides 1.5 hours of use.
  • The SB904's remaining battery life is displayed in hours and minutes from the receiver's front panel.

[Metal, Plastic] works perfect w/ our existing receiver, a lot of echo, that I need to work on, either area too small or speakers just too much for the room. but it has great pick up.

[.25 to 3 Hours] Works just as intended on the Shure BLX1 Wireless Bodypack. I saw other belt clips on different websites but none specified that it was compatible with the BLX1 and had a slightly different shape. So I’m glad I got this. Free shipping too on a product under $3!

[8.4 dBV] This is my first in ear monitor set up. As a drummer in a hard rock band, I highly recommend getting rid of the wedge monitor and going in ears all the way. This wired pack works perfectly right out of the box. I had it ready in just a few minutes. It sounds great, the AA batteries are still going after one 3 hour practice and a 3 hour live set.

[Battery] Shure's SLXD wireless line represents a major improvement. More frequencies, Wireless Workbench, great stability & sound quality. The bodypacks seem to be fairly power hungry, but good batteries can last the whole day. Supply chain issues stunted the rollout of the SLXD line. If you can find them, buy them! B&H seems to have stock when others are backordered.

[8.4 dBV] Never been disappointed with Sennheiser products

[Proprietary] Just used four of these on a show and they performed beautifully.

Super easy to use, great battery life with NiMh AAs and they sound excellent. Easily got 7 hours on 10mw, probably around 3-4 on 35mw but 10mw is more than enough for most situations, and when I had to use 35mw mode, the extra output power really makes a difference so changing batteries a few times is fine with me.

The automatic gain is no joke, it just works to the point where I even forgot about, I just kept rolling and only had to touch the gain on my mixer. You never hear any artifacts or pumping and the dynamics of the speakers voice are always naturally preserved, it really feels like the gain knob is being adjusted in real time as opposed to any sort of compression or limiting.

The only thing I would knock it for is it's size, it's pretty big (think same thickness as a G4 but a little taller), which makes it tough for some outfits for narrative work, but I'm not going to take a star off because it's built like a tank and feels like you could hammer a nail in with it.

It's also significantly cheaper than any other transmitter from any other system. That means you can break into the Axient ecosystem very affordably (relatively speaking) and get the performance you need even if it means having to do an ankle rig.

If you can go for the ADX1 or ADX1M, I would say go for it, but considering the price difference, the AD1s are a fantastic choice.
