Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this lens cap fit the Nikon Monarch 82mm Fieldscope?

A: I'm not sure. If it has threads on the inside of the lens barrel, it may work. But not sure.

Q: 2. What is the difference between the Skyeye and Wolverine? Is there an optical difference?

A: The main difference between the Kase 77mm Skyeye Professional ND Magnetic Filter Kit with Front Caps and Case and the Wolverine magnetic system is the Skyeye system is not shockproof like the Wolverine system, and the Skyeye filters have a thread at the front to allow screwed circular filters to be used with the system.

Q: 3. Is there any reason this won't fit on the 14-30/4 Z lens?

A: Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S front Lens diameter is 82mm therefore this cap is fully compatible with the front of your lens. I will recommend pinching and twisting the cap on top of the lens for a more secure grip.

Q: 4. Will the Canon RF 15-35 lens hood fit over the magnetic adapter ring?

A: The lens hood for the Canon RF 15-35mm lens would not fit over the magnetic adapter ring of the Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Stack Kit.

Q: 5. What is the difference between these Kase Skyeye filters and the Kase Wolverine filters?

A: According to the manufacturer, the difference between the filter line types would be that the SkyEye filters are manufactured from optical glass, whereas the Wolverine filters are manufactured from tempered glass.

Q: 6. What is the purpose of this rear "lens cap" and what does it attach to on the holder?

A: This will attach to the part that mounts to the lens normally. To keep the holder and filters dust and scratch free when not in use.

Q: 7. What is the difference photo image quality between the Kase Skyeye filters and the Kase Wolverine filters?

A: The Skyeye filters have better quality while the Wolverine filters are more durable.

Q: 8. Has anyone used this 82mm Kase KW-MGKITSC-82 system with the Canon RF 15-35mm Lens and if so have you experienced any lens vignetting?

A: These filters are fairly thin and you can stack quite a few of them. At the widest 15mm part of the zoom range you can stack 2 maybe 3 filters. But once you start zooming in a little you can stack more.

Q: 9. Is this the same lens cap that comes with the Nikon 24-70 2.8E VR?

A: Yes, this is the original lens cap that you would receive when you purchase a new Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens.

Q: 10. Does KASE make a UV filter that can fit this kit without using threads?

A: No. UV are not available at the given moment.

[Metal] I have been looking for a better way to use CPL and ND filters to my lenses. I heard about this magnetic system from a professional photographer who had used them. I have a hard time threading on typical filters.
This has been a lifesaver for me.

[Magnetic] Love this Kase system. My widest lens is 82mm, so every lens I own has a Kase magnetic step-up ring and an 82mm lens cap. Adding filters or a polarizer is a matter of seconds - no fumbling, even with gloves on.

[82 mm] Purchased the Kase Skeye 82mm Pro ND Magnetic Filter Kit.

Incredibly convenient to use. The magnet filters stay on the lens adapter, singularly and when stacked. Even when the camera is hanging off my hip.

I've only used them a short time, but I have seen NO evidence of color cast changes, nor vignetting. The included CPL works fine as well. I have been using the filters with a Canon R5 with a 70-200mm F4 lens.

Bought the 77 to 82mm adapter ring and works fine.

[Magnetic] This magnetic cap set is a must for the Kase filter set. When you want to keep a filter or stack of filters close by, this cap set keeps the front and back of your filters safe so you can slide them into a pocket without worry.

[Metal] Worth the price. Using step up rings from multiple lenses
makes the magnetic filter kits easy change feature usable on lenses from wide angle to 28-300 mm zooms. Working on longer exposures is now much easier.

[0.06 lb] I often use neutral density filters out when it is cold, and trying to screw the different filters on and off to get the right combination, or even a variable density filter takes time and sometimes is frustrating. The Kase magnetic filters are fantastic and quick to use. The Magnetic Stack Cap Set lets you keep these filters protected in a pocket of much smaller space than a filter case. I give it a 5 star.
