Minox 10x42 X-Range Laser Rangefinder Binocularssays, "measuring is safer than guessing," and these 10x42 X-Range Rangefinder Binoculars help hunters accurately gauge the distance to their targets for an accurate shot. The measuring range is approximately 3000 yards and the multicoated extra-low dispersion lenses produce a brilliant image quality to ensure a reliable identification of game, while stalking, from a blind in the woods, or during a challenging mountain hike. The X-Range measures the distance to your target with 1-yard accuracy out to 1093 yards and 2-yard accuracy beyond that, and shows the results on an OLED display inside the binoculars' view. IPX7 waterproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging, the 10x42 X-Range will generate 4000 measurements on a single CR2 battery. With its extremely compact dimensions, the 10x42 X-Range will likely become an important part of your hunting kit.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the lenses in the nikon aculon A 211 10 x42 the best coated, the good coated, or the fair coated? hello out there

A: I am not quite sure what you mean by Best Coated or Fairly Coated. My apologies. However this model has multicoated lenses. For the price the quality is very good.

Q: 2. Do these have an image stabilizing feature?

A: The Nikon 10x42 Monarch HG Binoculars doe not have an image stabilizer. Nikon does not currently offer that feature in any of their binoculars.

Q: 3. What is internal focusing?

A: The internal focus mechanisms is the surest way of achieving and most importantly KEEPING the exact focus.

Q: 4. Where is this made at?

A: These binoculars are made in China.

Q: 5. Can the rangefinder be used if window glass is interposed between the rangefinder and the target object?

A: I have now purchased this binocular/rangefinder and have had the opportunity to do some limited testing. The rangefinder function works reliably and well on targets in the 100-300 yard range with single or multiple sheets of glass interposed between the rangefinder and the target. The glass can be clean or moderately dirty without affecting the function. I haven’t tried long range targets yet but have no reason to believe they wouldn’t work as well as short range targets.

Q: 6. what number is far way magnification? High number?

A: The first number. For this binocular 10x is the magnification from as close as it will focus, to the furthest out that can be seen through the binocular. Everything is magnified by a factor of 10.

Q: 7. are they good for a pilot in the cockpit?

A: I don't fly but have used these for nature viewing (birds, whale watching) and for hiking. The adapter for use with a tripod is great. They have excellent clarity and being waterproof is a plus. The price is right for this type of binocular.

Q: 8. Is there still a warranty when buying the used Nikon Monarch HG binoculars?

A: When one purchases the "used" Nikon 10x42 Monarch HG Binoculars, one will have a 90 day B&H Used warranty. The B&H warranty can be extended up to 3 years through the Allstate Warranty Extension.

Q: 9. What are the main differences between X-Active 8x25 and the older Minox BV 8x25 (62059) they replace? I compared the specs and can see the X-Active are a few ounces lighter but not much else. Are there any differences in terms of optics?

A: Its a newer coating and a newer procedure on putting the coatings on. Better image color results and improvement in light transmission

Q: 10. Do they have fluorite glass? How well are chromatic aberrations handled?

A: There is no indication from Zeiss that the ZEISS 10x42 Conquest HD Binoculars BH #ZE10X42C • MFR #524212-0000-000 have fluorite lenses.

[42 mm] Great quality. A little heavy but well worth it. The rangefinder is fast and accurate. I would buy this again.

[1x CR2] I bought the 1st Generation when they were first released. I regularly use them at work and on hunting trips and range visits. The built in rangefinder is something I always use. But while on a a recent trip to Yellowstone, they fell off the back of my truck and the eye cups were badly damaged. When I sent them off, it was obvious that they get used and have seen their better days. When I got them back they looked brand new! I know I didn’t get a new pair (which I’m very ok with) but they perform and look like they are!
Everyone I have dealt with at Vortex has been personable and professional. Great products. Great value. Great service. I’ll keep coming back to Vortex.

[±3] I was hunting with a guide and he spotted a nice deer. I was able to find it with my binoculars with his direction. With one button push, I ranged it at 955 yards. He asked me to range a large rock that we could work our way to. I ranged it at 520 yards. Since we knew that over 400 yards was too far, we planned another route that put us 80 yards from the deer. At that range, the guide's rangefinder would work.

I have a manual for these binoculars but I haven't opened it yet. I put in the battery and pushed the button to get it to range. It may do more, but that is all I need. Super simple to use.

[42 mm] I bought a set of these binoculars two years ago and wanted to wait on the review until I had a chance to really work them. I have put these through some very tough conditions in the field over the past two hunting seasons and they still work flawlessly with crytal clear optics and very good low light visibility. I have always been a big fan of Vortex optics and these Fury HD 5000 binoculars are the quality you come to expect from Vortex. I highly recommend for anyone hunting in open spaces looking for range finding capabilities and reliable optics.

[42 mm] This Nikon Laser 50 is better than the 4K Black. I now have both, and did an AB test on them.

They range exactly the same, at about 3700 yards each(best case) and about 1900 on trees.

The main difference is the L50 has a Magnesium case, and will display angle or compensated yardage in the display.

The Laser 50 also comes with a 5 year warranty.

I'm not sure why Nikon called it a 50, and not a 4K Black mark II, but this performs exactly the same as the old 4k Black.

[±3] I've owned these binoculars for over a year now and put them through the test.  They have out preformed my expectations.  If you're looking into a rangefinding binocular, these are clearly the best in low light, and features on the market right now.

[10x] First Am I a glass expert? No; however my eyes can tell. These binoculars are crystal clear, can see details on your subject that you would with lesser optics, and can glass for hours without your eyes feeling stressed. The range finder is a great feature to have. Is also pretty spot on with known distances. For the price and what you get, this is hard to beat. Used these for deer hunting in temps from 25 degrees F to 45 degrees F, did not have any issues. Light gathering capability is also great. These are still within the affordable range. Sure Leica and its competitors have better series optics but it will cost you at least twice this price and may not include a range finder. Why I went with this pair? Convenience of having a range finder and binocular in one, currently own other Leica optics, affordability and quality. I understand that this series is made in their Portugal facility. I am not concerned with that as Leica from Germany has oversight and their reputation. Would I buy these again and do I recommend? Yes
