Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can these be used on Hollyland Cosmo 600 transmitter?

A: Yes, the Hollyland Bullet-Style Antenna for Mars 4K will work with the Hollyland Cosmo 600. However, they will not provide the same transmission distance as the Cosmo 600 original antennas. The Hollyland 600 original antenna is listed below. Hollyland Soft Antenna BH #HOSFTANTENNA

Q: 2. Since the Syscom T1000 is a full 8 pack system, does that mean I have to buy 2 of the Extension panels to support all 4? Cause it says the extension panel only support 4 belt packs. Also, could I use the extension panel and still use the antennas that come with the Syscom t1000 together?

A: Yes, two of the Hollyland Extension Panel Antenna for SYSCOM 1000T/Mars T1000 would be required for full coverage of all components in the Hollyland Syscom 1000T-8B Full-Duplex Intercom System with Eight Beltpacks and Headsets. The Extension panel would replace the standard antennae used in the system and would connect to the same antenna input connections on the base station's back panel using the provided Communication Cable.

Q: 3. Are both of the ports meant to connect to the receiver, or is one a "thru" which can be used to extend the signal range by connecting another antenna?

A: One port is for connection to the SYSCOM 1000T or Mars T1000 base station using the included cable and there are two RP-SMA male mounts on the bottom which can be used to add optional antenna extensions for an even more stable transmission.

Q: 4. What is the signal distance range on this antenna?

A: This unit extends the range of the original antenna by 100 meters.

Q: 5. Will this antenna work with the Mars M2-Pro model?

A: Hi Kimberlee, yes, it works with all our Mars wireless video transmitter system.

Q: 6. Will the antenna work with the Mars M2-Pro?

A: Hi Kimberlee, yes of course, if you meant Mars 300 Pro. Actually it works with all the Mars wireless video transmitter.

Q: 7. would this work with solidcom C1 hub base?

A: The Hollyland Extension Panel Antenna is not listed as compatible with the Solidcom C1 Hub.

Q: 8. Are these confirmed to work with the 300 Pro model?

A: Hi Leslie, yes, of course.

Q: 9. Can I connect the transmitter to an atomos v monitor instead that connecting directly to the camera and then able to put the receiver in a different monitor?

A: Yes, you can connect any transmitter to an ATOMOS Ninja V Monitor because there is a HDMI Loop Out on the monitor. You can also connect a receiver to a different monitor.

Q: 10. Do I need to connect both SMA connections to the base station? This has been asked before but not clearly answered.

A: Yes, when you connect the Extension Panel Antenna to the base station, the user needs to connect all the antenna ports on the base station to the Extension Panel`s SMA port.

[0.09 lb] Solid, good build quality. Linking them is super easy and stable. Having the HollyLive app is nice so you can have an iPad as a set monitor or what Not. One downside is that if you have HDMI in to the transmitter, you have to have an HDMI out of the receiver. It would be nice to have the ability to have HDMI into the transmitter and SDI out of the receiver. Really that's the only feature it's missing. Over I would recommend for a cheaper yet still solid wireless transmitter.

[5.1 to 5.8 GHz] Alright, folks, the Hollyland MARS 400 4K for my is the ultimate sidekick for all us videography champs out there. This little gadget is like my trusty partner-in-crime, making sure my video footage flies from camera to screen without breaking a sweat. And I am coming from the MARS 300. But this guys is just the next level and support 4k...

About that 4K magic. This gadget can handle the big leagues - 4K resolution streaming! So your stunning shots stay just as crispy and clear as you intended.

Setting up is a piece of cake. Or I most say there is not setting up is just plug and play. No tech wizardry needed here. It dances on the 5GHz frequency, which basically means it's got ninja-level interference blocking skills. So whether you're filming in a crowded caf or a wild forest, your signal stays strong and steady.

The big L word latency. The MARS 400 4K is on top of its game here. That latency is so low, it's practically in hiding. Your video and audio stay locked in perfect sync, no awkward delays to mess up your mood.

I think as soon as you get a video transmission system you discover a hole world and step up you job/quality level. And when you are there Hollyland has one of the best in the field with their gear.

[5.1 to 5.8 GHz] This is just awesome. I chose the 4K version and was a bit skeptical, however, the Mars 4K didn't disappoint. Worked right out of the box.
I could preview it on a monitor, I tried the TV and iPad too. Everything worked well together. I did not test the range, but it works well in my studio and on the TV in the next room in 4K.
Just a heads up, if you have an older TV is 1080p, it might not recognise the 4K signal and display 'no signal'. When I switched to 1080p recodring on camera, it worked on that screen too. Just FYI.

[5.1 to 5.8 GHz] If you're looking for a 4K tx with great features, build quality and reliable you have found it. The company I work at mainly use teradek brand but have used this for roaming cams. I purchased this for my own personal use and previously used the Hollyland mars 400s pro for 1080p transmission. I was impressed by its performance so much and wanted to upgrade to 4K.

Pros
- I love the metal build quality. Buttons felt tactile and responsive. Even the feel of the power switch feels premium.
- I like these Antennas over the thinner ones from the 400s pro and they provide 450 feet of range I believe.
- Many options to power the device (screw dc cable, npf battery or usb-c)
- wireless transmission to iOS and Android devices
- The wireless feed is very smooth and has accurate colors

Cons
- At the time of using the wireless with an iPhone I was not able to import my own custom luts even though it is advertised. I tried it on an iPad and was able to import. I'm sure it will be updated soon
- There is a very slight lag since there is a .06 latency but not too bad. I might not use it for situations where a focus puller it required. Other than that I've used it without issue in live events.
- Only way to transmit a 4K feed is through hdmi which i use anyway. SDI port can only do 1080

Overall, this is another great product from Hollyland that I recommend if you're looking for a reliable transmission system for live events, small productions and situations that you need 4K. My favorite feature is being able to transmit to multiple devices fit example to the DP, camera operator, on a camera mounted on a gimbal etc. Now I will probably pick up the Mars M1 monitor that doubles as a transmitter!

[Black] I have had great success with Hollyland units. This is my third model and they just get better.

I think that the range depends on your environment. Whether or not there's a ton of other wifi / RF devices or not will ultimately be the biggest factor. Obviously test ahead of time if the environment is tough.

Otherwise, everything works great and as advertised. The app is great too, very good option for a director's view.
