The FotodioX Background Reflector for Balcar and Paul C Buff is compatible with Balcar lights and Paul C. Buff AlienBees, Einstein, and White Lightning heads. The reflector channels the raw light to form an angle commensurate with your needs. Background reflectors are usually one-sided so that only the light from the rear part of the reflector falls on the background instead of the subject. A diffusion sheet is included with the reflector to soften the output.

A: Unfortunately, this ring only works on softboxes that use a 4 rod system, such as the Impact Luxbanx Duo series. The image below shows one of this softboxes.

[Black] I bought this speed ring to use with the now discontinued Westcott Strip Softbox (12"x36"). The speed ring works perfectly with this Westcott Strip Softbox. While it's true the locking levers won't lock all the way with Einstein as stated in an other review, the locking is still very strong. I couldn't find a way to unlock it by shaking, twisting or levering the softbox or flash unit. I wouldn't worry about it if you are still on the fence to buy that speed ring. 5

[Black] Pretty simple stuff, and priced accordingly, for once. It's a good, solid speedring that works well for my old octaboxes and other softboxes that I've used with speedlights. Even though there are numbered reference points on the speedring, I'd recommend that they color-code them for easier, speedier identification. A couple of magic markers or drops of paint should do the trick. 5
