This ultracompact, Xenarc MP-FL16 Fanless Mini PC Barebone Systemfrom Xenarc MP-FL16 Fanless Mini PC Barebone Systemis designed for vehicle installation in industrial computing applications. Capable of being powered by a 12 VDC outlet, the unit has a power consumption of less than 60W. This barebone configuration allows you to customize the system to suit your computing needs thanks to its Intel LGA 1151 processor compatibility and integrated graphics. Two memory slots support 2400 and 2600 MHz SO-DIMMS up to 64GB. You can install a 2.5" SATA solid-state drive into the available bay along with a slim optical drive.

Six USB-A 3.1 Gen 2 ports and two serial ports can connect peripheral devices like keyboards, mice, and flash drives. A DisplayPort and DVI-I port expand connectivity even further, along with the included VGA adapter. Other features like a Gigabit Ethernet connection and RS-232 port offer different control protocols.

[12 to 48 VDC] I was having trouble using an incident light meter with pocketwizards. I thought the problem might be with my connection between meter and wizard. This cord works fine (I checked it with other equipment), but alas, my meter is still giving me problems. I will keep the cord for other situations. 5

[< 60 W] I ordered this barebones kit with 16 gb of Crucial memory from B&H, and, of course it was delivered promptly. I got the Intel Pentium Silver N6005 version. I have built several NUCs over the years, and this compact unit was easy to open up. I installed the memory and a Samsung 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, and downloaded Windows 11 home and used the Microsoft Media creation tool to create a bootable USB drive. I then booted from the USB stick and installed Windows on the Samsung drive in minutes. I already had a key to use to activate. This device adds Windows to my set up, and takes up very little space on the desktop. I am feeding a 4K monitor and I am able to stream sources in 4K HDR with no difficulty. This is not a high performance machine, but it handles Microsoft Office tasks and media comsumption to meet my personal needs. The price was right and I am very pleased. 5

[Aluminum] I have bought bsolute BEST TABLET for my needs. At 74 years old, I am still fairly active, and rugged is NEED, for ALL my Electronics. The Xenarc Company, has a Proven STRATEGY in production: that is, DO ONE THING & and do it well. I speak from being in the ELECTRONICS community since 1957. By 1969, graduating from the U.S. ARMY'S Aviation Radio Repair school, working upon their FIRST Intigrated Radio,as well as their Last electron tube Aviation Radio! The RT71-FHD is truely a HARDENED DESIGN It is not meant for casual users,who might value looks over function. I have owned 3 previous HARDENED computers Two from Panasonic, and a very unique Getec, built for Spec Ops, with exchangable Modules to directly communicate to sattelites, or plot via GPS with precision. I used that for Mapping out a plot of land on one occaision. This Purchase will be out inthe weather, providing me information on my Travels, and Maintaining GPS LOGS, mileage traveled, speed and most important showing me my route home, at any spot I choose to alter my travels. The Android System, and the Xenarc thoughts, provide minimalist CLUTTER APPS, one must Choose their Required Applictions, and lots of memory, with the memory free from clutter.
