The mic captures all the nuances and details of your voice with a quality, gold-sputtered diaphragm and a convenient built-in anti-vibration elastic shockmount for clean, quiet recordings free of rumble or handling noises.

The ProCast is equipped with an 80 Hz high-pass filter for further reducing unwanted low-frequency rumbles and a -10 dB pad for handling extra loud sound sources. Further enhancing its flexibility, the mic also includes a detachable metal pop filter for reducing undesirable plosives and sibilance, and a mic stand adapter to ensure the ProCast can reliably mount to most stands and boom arms, whether they be 3/8 or 5/8" threads.

ProCast's design enables better high-frequency details compared to electret and dynamic mics and improved low-frequency performance over smaller diaphragm condensers. The cardioid polar pattern emphasizes sounds in front of the mic, making it perfect for voiceovers, streaming, vocals, podcasts, or other single-source audio recording. The ProCast requires 48V of phantom power, so connect it via XLR cable to interfaces or preamps to start your recording.

The ProCast's switchable 80 Hz filter helps reduce unwanted low-end frequencies like rumbles and vibrations. The passive attenuation of the -10 dB pad switch allows the mic to handle high sound pressure level sources of audio.

Isolate the mic and suppress the sound of unintentional rumbles and bumps with the elastic rope suspension. The included metal pop filter screen protects your mic from moisture and unwanted vocal sounds. Simply snap the HyperX Shield to the ProCast's included anti-shock mount to filter out those plosive puffs of air that result from "p" sounds. The versatile mic and adapter fit 3/8 and 5/8" threaded setups, so it's compatible with most mic stands or boom arms.

[Cardioid] I have used this versatile microphone for instrument recording and tested it's use as a spare/secondary film dialogue microphone. For instrument recording, It sounded excellent used as drum overheads. It captured the full sound of the drums, and did especially well with the highs produced by the cymbals. I also used it as an ambiance mic to record a guitar amp from a distance of roughly 6 feet. It was able to capture details that the up close dynamic mic could not pick up. This mic combined with a close up dynamic mic makes an excellent guitar amp recording combo. As for film dialogue, It actually worked really well. It is not as bassy as other mics, but it captured the voice really well from a distance of about 2 feet, and the voice sounded crisp. It also did well rejecting noise from the room.. I am happy to have added this little mic to my gear inventory

[Side Address] I set these up as a stereo pair on a baby grand piano, panned appropriately, and was absolutely floored by how good these sounded. Great small diaphragm condenser microphone for an extremely great price.

[Cardioid] I use this for orchestral recording and get good results. AT does not offer matched pair, but they are well matched despite I received mics that have serial no. of 263 & 1454.

[2.095 lb] I bought two for recording guitar and some band concerts. So far I have worked with these on acoustic guitar, stereo and mono mic'd, both near field and far field. To me, these mics sound incredibly clear and accurate. Zero noise that I can detect. I am really pleased with these. They sound much better than the Shure SM57 and noticeably better then my AT3035 LDC mics. I have had no problems. I run them at 0dB and with the 80Hz filter on. These are feeding a Presonus interface and a Mac running Logic Express 9. It's a dream set-up.
