Connect your strobe to a suite of FotodioX Broncolor Speedring Insert Plate for Light Modifierssoftboxes and beauty dishes with the Broncolor Impact Speedring Insert and Plate, a pair of spare or replacement parts for mounting light modifiers. The FotodioX Pro and Pro Studio Solution EZ-Pro modifiers require only the speedring insert, while the Pro Classic Softboxes require both the insert and plate. The insert has an all-metal construction and an outer diameter of 6".

Q: 1. What materials are used in the hinges and tube clamps? Is this an all-metal design?

A: The tubing and collars are aluminum. The clamps are plastic with rubber grip pads.

Q: 2. How do I meter the power output in HS mode? Do I need a special light meter or a regular flash meter will work?

A: Some third-party meters (e.g. Sekonic) offer the ability to meter in HS mode however we have not tested these units.

Q: 3. Is it possible to pack the softbox with the grid attached? Or does it have to be removed and packed seperately?

A: It is recommended to remove the grid, packing it attached will likely cause creases or damage to the grid material.

Q: 4. "Designed and developed in Switzerland" So where is it manufactured?

A: As per our records, the Broncolor Siros 400 S WiFi/RFS 2.1 Monolight is manufactured in Taiwan. Please note that this is subject to change at any time.

Q: 5. What adapter should I use for Aperture light?

A: Aputure lights use a Bowens mount.

Q: 6. Are these heads battery powered and HSS capable?

A: The Siros 400S is powered by a wall outlet and is not HS compatible. BUT the battery powered version - Siros 400L (B&H # BRS400LWFR2B MFR # B-31.710.07) is completely battery powered and HS compatible for Canon, Nikon, and Sony.

Q: 7. Does this work with the front diffuser in place?

A: Yes, the Broncolor 40° Soft Light Grid for Softbox (2 x 2') can be used at the same time as the front diffusion panel.

Q: 8. What would be the 110v version of this bulb for the Pulso-Spot? I tried to do a search and failed to find it on B&H's website. Thanks

A: Broncolor 250w/120v Halogen Modeling Lamp for Pulso Twin / Pulso 4 (34.221.00) is also compatible with the Pulso Spot.

Q: 9. Does it have any side access when mounted? Velcro? Zipper?

A: This box does not have side access.

Q: 10. Hey is this specific light good foR starters?

A: The Broncolor Siros 400s is a very good strobe. It is not a beginner strobe but is good for beginner to professional use.

[Metal] I have recently purchased the Magmod kit and couldn’t wait to purchase speed rings for all my lighting equipment. This system is amazing! So easy and well built. The speed ring was a perfect fit and worth every penny! Say goodbye to bulky soft boxes! I hope they come out with a larger soft box for this system- I will be first in line! 5

[Metal] I was on the fence about this. I already had v-flats and wanted to just use those as eyelighter instead of buying a big eyelighter reflector. This little thing did the job well and I can definitely see using it to hold various reflectors a lot. Will I get an eyelighter reflector in the future? Yes, but for now this is cheap and fine. 5

[Metal] Perfect monolight strobe, compact, constant colors at all times, 9 f-stops, very intuitive to use, from 1/1000 (800 J) to 1/19000 s (3 J). I have two 800s and one 400s + an external DC/AC battery for outdoor shooting. Considering my needs (studio + outdoor shooting), it is a far much better versatile combinaison and reasonably priced choice than to having one Move 1200 with only 2 heads (as far you do not need 1200 J on one head or need something very compact-packed). And there is no compromission with the global performance. 5

[Metal] new experience with Broncolor , I love the quality of the light , wifi system is very handy in the studio, i recommend this light to everyone who wants to achieve quality , i was trying another lights ,not even close to broncolor , my personal preference. 5
