It is designed to work with a networked audio system containing transceivers such as the Shure MXWAPT2 and the Shure MXWANI4 4-Channel Audio Network Interface.

Q: 5. How to get line-level into the AVX? When I use the CL440 or CL2 cable it is mic-level and so very distorted.

A: What you will have to do is. Go into the menu on the transmitter to Sensitivity. It will probably be set -6dB drop it down till about -12dB and see if that does it. Either way you have to reduce the sensitivity and then compensate from the receiver by bringing up the AF out. AF out will be the output level to the camera.

A: No, you will not be able to use the Sennheiser MKE 40 with a Sony UWP transmitter. The internal wiring for Sennheiser and Sony mics is different and they are not compatible or interchangeable. Alternatively, you are also not able to use mics wired for Sony transmitters with Sennheiser transmitters. This is not something that can be fixed with an adapter.
