A: It will allow softboxes of this style https://bhpho.to/2EWfe4e to be used with Elinchrom. The ring is pushed under the edge of the softbox to hold it in place.

Q: 9. What is the outer ring diameter?

A: 142mm/5.59" inch. The lip is 3.30mm/.129" inch This was to big and did not fit my speed ring where the insert diameter on that one measures to 139-140mm. Although it states Bowens S, it does fit the mount on my strobe. There are slight tolerances between some of the Bowens accessories so this may or may not fit exactly.

[Metal] Easy open umbrella style. Quality materials, nice carrying case. Have a Buff one, approximately the same size, modified to fit on a normal light and it is not as well made, in my opinion. Very pleased with the light this thing puts out, especially now that it has a grid. 5

[Metal] I own several of these softboxe's... This Is Only My Opinion... This is the most Versatile Softbox Ever... If you do photography, you should have one of these in your kit... Easy to setup and excellent quality material... 5

[Metal] The Bowen’s speed ring is included with the soft box and you don’t have to go through the hassle of connecting the rods into the speed ring, which is very convinient. 5 feet might not seem like much but when it’s a softbox and you’re lighting your subject, it makes a tremendous difference. It has great soft/smooth light. Just beware of the wind if you’re using this outside, will definetly tip over easily if there’s no assistant or weights on your light stand, and you wouldn’t want to ruin your strobe(s). 5
