[External] I needed a 10.1 inch monitor for my video studio's teleprompter and this does the trick. Sharp text. Quick and easy to set up. Affordably priced. I'm thrilled.

[60 Hz] The Viewsonic TD1655 worked perfectly out-of-the-box including the touch screen. Didn't even need calibration adjustments. In five minutes I was up-and-running, INCLUDING extended display (it is the upper-left in the photo). If you don't need a touchscreen, Viewsonic has models at lower price points. It fits in my backpack briefcase and my messenger bag and has a protective cover that snaps on magnetically.
I had borrowed, tried or bought-and returned four portable monitors, none of which worked without some effort. One didn't work at all despite an hour of trying everything I could think of (and it wasn't cheap). Another required a separate power source - for a portable monitor? Seriously, they expect me to carry another power supply on the road? From those experiences I looked at the specs of a couple dozen more, and then decided to try the Viewsonic TD1655. It is head-and-shoulders above all the others, even ones that were more expensive. The only possible exception was the Lenovo M14. I have used Thinkpads exclusively for years, currently have four between my wife and myself (all Yogas). I really wanted it to be the one, but the smaller screen was a deal breaker. After receiving the Viewsonic I discovered, besides the larger screen, that it had better features and more adjustments.
Search no more and don't waffle about a few dollars. This is the only portable monitor to buy.

[IPS-Type LCD] I bought the touch USB c portable monitor for my new mini pc the size of a cell phone. I had to learn quick about the usb c port and usb c cables. The ViewSonic charger powers the mini pc, and the mini pc powers and feeds video to this monitor all via one cable. I looked at many other Chinese made monitor and read many reviews. Very mixed. I decided that I would be better off with a name brand. I siwh the manual gave more detailed and necessary info on usb c cables in case the user need longer or new cables. Not all USB c cables are the same at all. I had to do my own research and learn about the specs of USB c cables. When you use cables other than the ones that came with the monitor, you need to get the right ones. Otherwise, you will have issues. Overall, I am very happy. It looks stylish, comes with all the cables and cover.

[Yes, 2x 1 W] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this portable monitor because I had a need for an extra monitor when I'm working on the road. Very easy to connect to and my laptop charges the monitor. Took a while to figure out that I didn't need the power cable connected to the monitor, but once I figured that out, it was seamless.

[IPS-Type LCD] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm using as exterior monitor to my iMac 2020 running flight simulation software X-Plane11 and Air Manager. X-Plane runs on my iMac monitor and Air Manager shows plane's instrument panel on my TD1655. With touch capability and the addition of a device called Knobster, I can activate any control knob or switch on the instrument panel to make changes, and not have to use mouse or keyboard when flying in simulator. Really cool. I love the monitor.

the only downside is the lack of battery in the display if you need one - i don't find it a problem but you might....

[IPS-Type LCD] I am very pleased with this portable monitor. I use it as an extra monitor for various computers, and as a portable TV to set up connected to a small cable box. It is good for both uses.


The only thing I wish for in the latter use would be for external volume control. Volume has to be set via the built in menus, but they are easy to navigate and the fact that I can use this as a small HD television with cable box is just a bonus.

[1200:1] Finally a Touch Screen Mac. The drivers installed easily and work great. It is the perfect portable monitor for my Mac MINI travel photo posting set up. Fits in my waterproof travel case with the mini and all accessories.
