A: I have done both from my MacBook. I also needed a usb-c to hdmi cable since my MacBook didn’t have an hdmi port, but it worked well.

A: Hi, If your audio mixer (or do you mean video switcher?) accepts SDI connections, then yes, this would work.

A: It handles both 6G and 3G SDI. We use it with our 3G video equipment to use cheaper HDMI projectors, so it should work with your 3G camera, but we don't have that model to say for certain.

Q: 9. Is there a difference between cheap 50 dollars converters and this one. While being use with deck link mini to feed 10 bit signal to monitor?

A: The Decklink Mini Monitor already has both active HDMI and SDI outputs so it is not necessary to add an additional converter in this case.

Q: 10. I am wanting to connect a 2013 iMac to a ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K. Would this Converter work if I used Mini DisplayPort to HDMI from the iMac, to the HDMI in on this Converter, and then passed SDI to the Switcher?

A: Hi, I don't have the switcher, but I do have the Blackmagic HDMI-SDI 6g, and an atomos shogun inferno, and a 2012 MacMini. I was able to see output from the Mac Mini at 1080p, but did not see any choices for higher resolution. I'm not sure that you can even pass 4:2:0 2160 signal at 30fps over a 3g input Blackmagic does make an admittedly more expensive HDMI - SDI convert to pass full UHD, BH #BLTRMHDMISDI • MFR #CONVNTRM/AB/HSDI (the Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini HDMI to SDI 12G Converter). I'm not a B&H employee, but they have a very reasonable return policy; you could ask if they wuold let you try the cheaper one, and if it didn't work, exchange it with more $$ for the faster one.

[18 AWG] I wanted to be able to use timecode to sync the Ursa Mini Pro with the Zoom F8n recorder and the BMPCC 4K, without having to buy an external sync box. This cable allowed me to jam the F8n with the Ursa Mini Pro, which then kept time very well for over an hour. I haven't tested the sync beyond that, but Blackmagic claims that the timecode in the Ursa shouldn't drift by more than a frame over 8 hours. I was happy to be able to do all this without the expense of one or more sync boxes. 5

[18 AWG] As others noted it is a bit stiff but considering the cable has a solid center conductor it was expected. Overall a good value and just took a extra few minutes to 'un-train' the cable from being in a coil. Rolled it out carefully and then installed it. Connections seem solid and picture quality was as expected and no difference from another cable we had installed in another location. Will be back for our next camera as well. 5

[RG-6] We were desperately trying to find Belden 4694R connectors and no one had them. We were told by another vendor that these connectors would work and they did. Since we're using the 4694 cable for HD only, we'll be okay. If we upgrade to 4K, they'll probably work too because our cable lengths aren't over 150 feet. Quality connectors and extremely easy to put on cable with the Belden tools. 5

[RG-6] Beefy, solid design. Comes in a tight coil, but after laying it all out and taking that memory out it coiled up nice into about an 18 loop. Solid siignal over the 100' length, great solid connection. Loved the dark grey look so I don't get mine knicked by a production house or facility 5
