Q: 1. Can these units be daisy chained? Ie, I have one coax coming to a particular room and I want to have two of these units in the room without a splitter. Can I connect the second one to the second coax connection on the first one?

A: Not sure what your needs are. I don't think you can daisy chain these. Nor should you need to. If you need more Ethernet/LAN ports (to connect more devices at one room/location) you can connect the RJ45 cable from the Coax Bridge into a Network/Ethernet switch (they come in multiple port options, 4, 6, 8, 12 etc) used to expand the number of ports and then connect the other devices directly into the ports on the switch. This would also be cheaper as switches are much cheaper than this Coaxial BRIDGE device. Hope my comments are helpful. Good Luck

Q: 2. Does it work with Asus Maximus VI Formula motherboard?

A: Yes, the ASUS XG-C100C 10GBase-T PCIe Network Adapter BH #ASXGC100C is compatible with the Asus Maximus VI Formula so as long as you have an open space for it.

Q: 3. I want to use my coax to hard wire my Apple tv via ethernet. Is this plug n play or will i have to call my internet provider to activate a new port? I have a coaxial modem in one room but not where I need it to be. Will this network adapter be in conflict with my modem?

A: That's exactly what I did and things worked fine - no conflict with modem at all, it was essentially plug and play. I also put a third one in so I have three rooms connected by the coax adapters: my office (with computers, printers, cable modem to Internet etc.); home theater room with internet-connected TV, appleTV and Blue ray player; and a third room with another TV. All are happy as clams.

Q: 4. Is this compatible with non-Asus motherboards?

A: Yes, I have two running. One on an MSI motherboard, and another working on a Gigabyte one.

Q: 5. is this ok to be used to change iMac 27(2009) hard drive to Crucial SSD?

A: No other Cables or connectors are needed just the Sabrent bracket

Q: 6. How many of these would I need if I wanted this setup? TWC modem on first floor (I only have internet service), where the Motorola ARRIS modem is (and Airport Extreme router). It is also where the main coax lines run to master, loft, and bedroom. Would I need a set (2) of these to get to each room? Or can one MOCA adapter be connected to router, then split 3 ways with a MOCA adapter in each room? Appreciate your advice.

A: you need 4

Q: 7. Can this be used to copy an mSATA with an OS installed to a new mSATA with a SATA to USB adapter and the new mSATA intalled in laptop where old one was? Any advice on doing this? uh, thanks *thumbs up + good karma*

A: Yes, the Sabrent mSATA to 2.5" SATA III Adapter BH #SAECMSSA would allow you to use it to clone an mSATA SSD to another one. I would recommend using the free version of Macrium reflect. That will allow you to clone the old SSD to the new one. Once that is done, you can install the new one and it should boot up from there.

Q: 8. Will this unit also work with TV's?

A: No, typically the EnGenius EPA5006HAT 2.5 Gigabit 802.3at PoE Adapter would not be able to power and connect to standard televisions. The EnGenius EPA5006HAT 2.5 Gigabit 802.3at PoE Adapter normally would power security cameras.

Q: 9. Does the power adapter works with 220v ?

A: It would appear that the adapter says 100 to 240 volts for input. So I would say yes, it should work. If not, all you should need is a DC power adapter, that's 5 volts 2 amps that's for 220v.

Q: 10. Does it help to download videos?

A: The Boost Wireless Network Adapter is only for use with Sonos speakers. I don't think you can use it to download videos.

[2.5] I purchased the two-pack Actiontec Bonded MoCA Network Adapters after reading about them online. They are extremely simple to install. All you do is connect one to your tv cable and plug in you ethernet source and you're ready to go. You must have at least two adapters to complete the network. I installed the second one in our living room. This time I just connected the tv cable to the adapter and it was the ethernet source for my streaming devices. I was so satisfied with these adapters, I purchased the wi-fi extender with which I am equally pleased. I've gotten over 100 Mps with this wi-fi extender - unbelievable!! If you need a hard wire ethernet in your house, this is the simplest way to get one - using your existing cable tv lines. I decided to cut the cord on cable tv because my bill went up nearly $20 per month with no change in service. With this device, I am able to run OTA TV and streaming devices over my home tv cables and it's like magic. I definitely recommend this produce to anyone interested in a MoCA network.

[3.6 to 6.3 ms] Easy setup, plug it in, and it works. Note that with Fios, you don't need a pair. You already have a MoCA network, and only need the adapter at the end points. In terms of speed, I get over 200Mbps without an issue.

[5 VDC at 2 A] I replaced my FIOS router with my own but needed something to make the FIOS Channel guide working with my set top box. I connected one of these and it worked beautifully. Couldn't ask for a simpler solution. As usual, B&H shopping experience was above and beyond.

[3.6 to 6.3 ms] An excellent product for a very specific need. We built our 2 story home about 30 years ago in a rural area, obviously long before the internet, and installed a cutting edge (back in the day) coax distribution center and I personally ran cable to every room in the house. Fast forward to 2016 and we finally have a DSL connection available to us but the problem arises on how to run category 5 or 6 cable to each room. Enter MoCA version 2. Version 1 did not have the capability of simultaneously passing satellite television and DSL, version 2 can handle the higher satellite frequencies along with the DSL. The only additional changes I needed to make were upgrading all the splitters in the distribution box to accommodate bi-directional, 2+ gigahertz signals. Using a POTS splitter at the telephone junction box, I fed the DSL signal into the modem and into Actiontec MoCA converter and voila la, DSL in our family room and office. Pricey for sure, but so much better than fishing cable through walls, crawl spaces, and basements. Signal loss appears to be minimal. Wonderful technology!

[1 to 9 dBm] I use my in home MoCA network, driven by Actiontec Bonded MoCA 2.0 adapters, to connect my TiVOs to my router. Streaming between TiVO boxes, and streaming from Netflix and other providers is excellent ... no buffering. My only use for home WiFi is to connect my cell phone to my home network ... and slow wireless N is good enough for that.

[2.5] Replaced an older MoCA and increased the bandwidth from ~ 40 mbps downstream to 130 Mbps. In my setup, the cable line is not connected to the rest of the house's cable network, but rather is point to point between two MoCA devices.

[1 to 9 dBm] This is by far the best non-Ethernet home networking solution on the market delivering near 1G Ethernet speeds. There were some teething issues for me that I had to resolve, but since then my three adapters have been rock solid. So much so I just bought 2 more.

A few tech notes from the issues I had to resolve. High frequency bandwidth is everything for these adapters. Make sure you have RG6 wires, this should not be an issue if using cable wiring preinstalled in the last 30-40 years or more recently by the cable company. In my case the in wall wiring was OK with RG6 cable. However a previous owner had used cheap R59 jumpers (with cheap twist on terminations) between a rat's nest of cheap Radio Shack splitters that couldn't pass more than 1 GHz. I bought a higher quality 6-way splitter rated up to 2 GHz. I also found that having a filter designed to contain the MOCA signals within the house was an absolute necessity. This filter is installed at the input to the splitter for me. I think the filter either addressed a high frequency impedance issue or controlled signal reflections that were causing issues.

As an aside to anyone who cares, these adapters do pass VLANs and probably any other Ethernet L2 items like jumbo frames and the like. I believe all MOCA adapters do is to encapsulate Ethernet frames and seamlessly pass it over the MOCA network.

[3.6 to 6.3 ms] I got rid of my FIOS router and needed something that would give ethernet connectivity to my Set top box for the program guide. I picked this up and it worked beautifully. Simply connected the coax to it and an ethernet connection from my switch. Set top box has connectivity and program guide works. As always, B&H customer service was top notch.
