Integrate the Netgear GS524UP 24-Port PoE++ Gigabit Unmanaged Switchinto your network to quickly expand your capacity for demanding power devices. Featuring 24 Gigabit speed Ethernet ports, 16 of which provide 60W PoE++ power output while the other eight support 30W, you can operate devices such as advanced IP cameras, high-bandwidth access points, and VoIP phones. Simply connect your devices to this unmanaged switch and Netgear's auto-balance and allocation technology will automatically detect each device's needs and distribute the 480W power budget accordingly.

The GS524UP ensures smooth data transfers with a 48 Gb/s non-blocking switching capacity and 1.4 Mpps forwarding rate. Its metal casing quickly dissipates heat, allowing the switch to operate efficiently and silently while resting on a desktop or mounted in a rack with the included hardware.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the picture on the 50v 60w old? It doesn't look like the picture on the Ubiquiti website.

A: The Ubiquiti Networks 50V PoE Adapter with Gigabit LAN Port BH #UBPOE5060W • MFR #POE-50-60W is the most current version. It is possible that we are using a different image of this device.

Q: 2. Can I run 2 of these and have that be all the Ubiquiti things I own?

A: Yes, the Ubiquiti Networks UniFi U6 In-Wall Dual-Band Wi-Fi Access Point & 4-Port PoE Compliant Gigabit Switch is compatible with other brands of network equipment.

Q: 3. If a 10Gbit Ethernet port is connected the to input of this device will the POE port be limited to 1Gbit or is 2.5Gbit possible?

A: Yes, If you used the Ubiquiti Networks 50V PoE Adapter with Gigabit LAN Port on a 10Gbit network the speeds would drop to gigabit speeds.

Q: 4. Is this POE injector 802.3at compliant?

A: Yes, this will be 802.3at compliant.

Q: 5. Is this 802.3at POE+ compatible

A: No this unit is 802.3af standard POE

Q: 6. Will this work with a Panasonic AW-HE40SW HD PTZ Camera?

A: Yes it would, but look at the power standards not necessarily voltage. Regular PoE is the 802.3af standard, and PoE+ (plus) is the 802.3at standard. The main difference between the 802.3af (PoE) and 802.3at (PoE+) standards is the maximum amount of power they provide over Cat5 cabling. The maximum amount of power for the 802.3af (PoE) standard is 15.4 watts. The maximum for the 802.3at (PoE+) standard is 25.5 watts. Ubiquity mixes PoE equipment standards with 12V, 24V, 48V and 50V PoE adapters but most PoE equipment is 48V PoE or PoE+. Usually you only need higher voltages to reach longer distance's. Sometimes it is hard to get PoE+ to reliably work over 100M or 300ft, so you would need a PoE injector with slightly higher voltage to deliver 25W at 300 plus feet. For the record, the Panasonic camera does not need GB speed which uses all 8 conductors. 100mb over 2 pairs CAT5 or CAT5E (using only 4 of 8 conductors) will work fine. I'd stick with a 100mb PoE+ injector.

Q: 7. Can the 50V 60W Gigabit Adapter be used with Ubiquiti Networks U6-LR UniFi 6 AX3000?

A: Yes it will work with the Ubiquiti Networks U6-LR UniFi 6 AX3000 Long-Range Access Point BH #UBU6LRUSe

Q: 8. Could this be used to power a Panasonic AW-HE40SW camera?

A: This PoE adapter would not be compatible for powering the Panasonic AW-HE40SW camera.

Q: 9. Does this support VLAN?

A: Yes, the Ubiquiti UISP-R supports VLAN.

Q: 10. what's the difference between standard and the one with Gigabit LAN port. I don't see any extra ports in the picture for the latter?

A: The standard is up to 10/100 Mbps and this one is up to 1Gbps.

[Internal] I needed a fanless ethernet switch with PoE+ for cameras and WiFi access points. This does the job well. I like that all ports can do PoE and that the unit is small. It comes with mounting screws and even rack mount ears.

[9216 Bytes] Very nice, this has all the power and ports that i need for my POE+ devices. Thinking of mounting this on the wall with double sided velcro. Using it to route all my ethernet cables hardlines to the walls in my home current and for security cameras.

[Auto-MDIX/MDI] Perfect. I know nothing about networking and managed to install and use this device.

[480 W] I used this switch daisy-chained from another Netgear GS108 (non PoE), to connect my TV equipment to my wired network (TV, Sat Receiver, DVD, Chromecast Ultra.  Soundbar w/Google Assistant coming soon).  I want to free my WiFi from carrying everything, and not have 5 ethernet cables traveling halfway across my house, plus still have room for expansion.  I just plugged everything in and it all instantly worked!  Although I am not currently utilizing the PoE function, I plan on getting PoE IP cameras very soon.  I plan to purchase another and spread my wired network to the other side of the house too.

[60 W] This switch was purchased for the PoE+ feature. I don't need all of the management features - just a simple network connection that is able to supply power to the end devices. It's working great.
