The Eartec EVADE EVX9S Wireless Intercom System 2.4 GHzis a full-duplex wireless intercom system suitable for facilitating communication among nine people for light industrial applications. This set includes one single-ear master headset for the team leader and eight single-ear remote headsets. All the technology necessary for operating the intercom system, including the battery, has been built into the headset's earcup—eliminating the need for wires or a bodypack. The headsets link automatically for transmission in the 2.4 GHz spectrum at a maximum range up to 1148', and a station hub is not required.

The microphone boom on each headset swivels up to 270°, allowing the user to wear it on the left or right side. Rotating the boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone, and a simple, five-level volume control is easily accessed on the earcup. Power is supplied by a built-in rechargeable LiPo battery, which will power a headset for up to 8 hours. Nine rechargeable batteries, a nine-bay multi-port charger, and a soft-side case are provided.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If I have a set and someone else has another set can they all sync together as long as we are all combined under 16?

A: Yes, according to page 2 of the manual for the Eartec Ultralite Pro system, you can use the yellow 'combine' button on the main headset to combine two groups into one group. For your convenience, here's a link to the manual: https://bhpho.to/47Sa1Hj.

Q: 2. Are the headsets linked or synced right out of the box?

A: The system is linked simply by first turning on the headset labeled "Master," and then turning on the other satellite headsets. The master headset will flash a blue light to search for the others in the system, which will also show a flashing blue light. When the the lights on all of the units show solid blue, then they are synced.

Q: 3. What is the range in feet that this will work?

A: According to the manufacturer's specifications, the Hollyland LARK M1 SOLO Wireless Microphone System has a transmission distance of up to 656 feet (line of sight).

Q: 4. Does this wireless intercom work in Brazil? What is the better option for me in this case, the USA set or Europe.

A: This system works in the 1920 to 1930 MHz range so if there are restrictions on using frequencies in that range in Brazil then these headsets will not be useable there.

Q: 5. How many headsets i can use with one Hub ?

A: We bought a system that came with 5 headsets and the hub and I bought a separate headset and added it! Great Systems!

Q: 6. How is the difference between headset battery & Hub battery?I can not found battery accessory.

A: Both the UltraLITE headsets and HUB utilize the same battery. Unfortunately we do not currently offer the replacement battery separately.

Q: 7. Can i buy this system and buy later more headsets? What's the límit of devices? Can I add a hub to replace the máster headset?

A: You can buy more headets at a later date. If using more than five headsets a hub is required. If two hubs are used you can have up to 16 headsets.

Q: 8. Does this Wireless intercom work in Monterrey Mexico?

A: Yes. This will work in Mexico.

Q: 9. Does it works with a laptop?

A: You can use the 3.5mm TRS to TRRS cable that is included with the Hollyland LARK M1 SOLO Wireless Microphone System to connect to the 3.5mm jack on a laptop that accepts a microphone. The TRRS connector will go to the laptop.

Q: 10. Why choosing 2.4Ghz on the pro model over 1.9?

A: By choosing the Eartec UltraLITE Pro16 Long-Range Dual-Channel Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom System with 8 Single-Ear Headsets (2.4 GHz), you will have the option of a wider frequency band, and in consequence, the operating range will double to 3000' / 914.4m. Battery run time would also be increased to 10 hours.

[9] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.

[ADPCM / 16 kb/s] Just got them, they cover a great distance, come in a hard case that’s pretty nit and seem to be made from solid material, so far so good!

[VDC Included] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[9] These are great!

Flip down to talk.  Flip up to mute your mic.

There is one hub belt  that you hook up to 1 wired headset.  The other headsets are headset only, so you can listen and talk no belt pack needed.

Comes with a bag and 8 battery charger.

[GFSK] Broke in this four station system on a middle school musical and it worked like a champ. Clear crew comms for a reasonable cost. Can't speak to how durable they will be but they started out as exactly what we needed.

[8 Hours] These are great coms on a budget. I had an issue with one of them pairing out of the box. The Eartec customer service number is right on the soft carrying case, they walked me through the programming process in a couple minutes to get all four up and running. I will definitely add another headset and down the road upgrade to the hub when I need it.

[ADPCM / 16 kb/s] Coming from the broadcast world, doing small to medium events. Really wanted to get away from wires and belt packs. These were the only cost-effective realistic solution. They worked great. We used them day in and day out. The batteries charge fast. The range was good. If you get enough people and enough staging in the way, of course you're going to lose reception over a couple hundred feet and how many walls. But I never felt like they were oversold in terms of range. I love these things, they made our work lives easier and better every day.

[Headband] These worked great, but there is one minor issue with the remote head sets. The master head set has a slider switch to turn it on or off. The remote head sets have a rubber push button that you have to hold down for say 3-5 seconds to shut the head set off. When you insert a battery in to the remote head sets they turn on. You have to make sure to turn the remote head set off when you insert the battery. It's very easy to put a fresh battery in a remote head set, not turn it off and then forget about it and have it drain the battery.
