Expand your wireless intercom system with the Eartec EVADE EVXDR, a full-duplex dual-ear remote headset designed to work with the EVXDM and EVXSM master headsets (available separately) to facilitate hands-free communication for light-industrial applications. All the technology necessary for operating the intercom system, including the battery, has been built into the headset's earcup—eliminating the need for wires or a bodypack. The EVADE system operates in the 2.4 GHz spectrum and can be expanded to accommodate up to 9 headsets at one time. A base station is not required.

The microphone boom swivels up to 270°, allowing the user to wear it on the left or right side. Rotating the boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone, and a simple five-level volume control is easily accessed on the earcup. The EVXDR features a built-in rechargeable LiPo battery which will power it for up to 8 hours.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hello! a year ago I bought a heatset 4 single set, I want to know if it is possible to add 2 more units to this set (to make a 6 heatset single system)

A: The maximum number of headsets that can be used with your system is five -- one master and four remote headsets. So you can add one more remote headset with your system. For a system with six wireless headsets, you would need to use the Eartec HUB Mini Duplex Transceiver Base - USA (B&H # EAHUB). The HUB would replace the master headset in your existing system. It functions as the master controller and can accommodate one wired headset and up to eight wireless UltraLITE headsets. Since you already have three remote headsets, you would need to purchase three additional remote headsets to have a total of six wireless headsets with the HUB (one of the remote headsets is to replace your master headset, plus the two remote headsets you want to add).

Q: 2. Has anyone else noticed that the volume level at it's highest setting on the Master is considerably lower than on the remote headsets?

A: If you believe your purchase is malfunctioning or require operational assistance, please feel free to contact a Representative here at 800-606-6969, or email audio@bandh.com. We will be happy to help.

Q: 3. Can I take an output from my boats Fusion head unit or iphone into the Hub feeding music that we all hear, but could talk over?

A: The Eartec UltraLITE 4-Person Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom with 4 Dual-Ear Headsets (1.9 GHz, USA) does not have a line input for compatibility with music input. It is used for communication between the headsets only. To be able to send line audio to multiple headphones wirelessly, you would want to use something more like the VocoPro SilentPA (BH #VOSILENTPRCT).

Q: 4. Hi, do you have international warranty? how it works? I need it for Perú. Thanks

A: We do offer a Square Trade protection plan, for either 2 or 3 year terms ($199.99 and $269.99 respectively), which offer worldwide coverage, free shipping, quick turnaround time, and 24/7 claim service. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/find/jsp/warranty-square-trade.jsp

Q: 5. WHAT EARTECH SYSTEM IS SUITABLE FOR New Zealand?

A: The "AU" systems from Eartec (like this one) can be used in New Zealand.

Q: 6. Is there a charging station for the batteries?

A: Yes, the Eartec UL4D UltraLITE 4-Person Headset System (USA) includes the Eartec 8-Port Multi-Charger for charging the batteries used in the UltraLITE headsets.

Q: 7. Why choosing 2.4Ghz on the pro model over 1.9?

A: By choosing the Eartec UltraLITE Pro16 Long-Range Dual-Channel Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom System with 8 Single-Ear Headsets (2.4 GHz), you will have the option of a wider frequency band, and in consequence, the operating range will double to 3000' / 914.4m. Battery run time would also be increased to 10 hours.

Q: 8. Can i pair a older UltraLITE remote to a newer UltraLITE HD main? I can't get the older UltraLite into pair mode where it's blinking blue/red.

A: You may need to clear the main headset before you can pair the remote headset. Here is a link to Eartec's instructions: http://eartec.com/programming-ultralite-printable-instructions/ If you are still not able to get it working, contact tech support at Eartec. You can reach them by phone at 800-399-5994 or 401-782-4966. Their offices are based in Rhode Island and they are available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM EST.

Q: 9. Is the USA version of the product suitable for use in Taiwan? Or should I choose the EU version

A: An "EU" version of the Eartec UL5S 5-Person Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom with 5 UltraLITE Single-Ear Headsets is recommend for use in Taiwan as opposed to the "US" version. This is mainly due to the frequencies used and what works best in each area. The "EU" version may need a wall socket adapter for proper connection to the charger. Q: 10. I want to buy 6 of this for a Tv series ! But the idea is buy 4 now and 2 more after 1 month ( week before we gonna start to shoot) If I buy 4 single for use in USA I can buy 2 more later and it’s would be work great ? Please help me

A: The master headset included with the Eartec UltraLITE 4-Person Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom can be used with up to 5 remote headsets. In order to accommodate 6 headsets, you will need to purchase the Eartec HUB Mini Duplex Transceiver Base for 1 Plug-In & up to 8 Wireless UltraLITE Headsets (B&H # EAHUB) which would replace the master headset. The HUB can be used with up to 8 wireless remote headsets and 1 wired headset that will connect directly to the HUB to accommodate a total of 9 users. The master headset and HUB both have the same electronics built-in and cannot be used together and the HUB only works with wireless remote headsets and the 1 wired headset. You may want to consider purchasing the Eartec HUB6S UltraLITE 6-Person HUB Intercom System (B&H # EAHUB6S) from the start. The HUB can be powered with a battery and worn like a beltpack. 2 HUBs can be linked to accommodate up to 16 wireless remote headsets and 1 wired headset.

[ADPCM / 16 kb/s] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[GFSK] Just got them, they cover a great distance, come in a hard case that’s pretty nit and seem to be made from solid material, so far so good!

[GFSK] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.

[9] These worked great, but there is one minor issue with the remote head sets. The master head set has a slider switch to turn it on or off. The remote head sets have a rubber push button that you have to hold down for say 3-5 seconds to shut the head set off. When you insert a battery in to the remote head sets they turn on. You have to make sure to turn the remote head set off when you insert the battery. It's very easy to put a fresh battery in a remote head set, not turn it off and then forget about it and have it drain the battery.

[Mono] Coming from the broadcast world, doing small to medium events. Really wanted to get away from wires and belt packs. These were the only cost-effective realistic solution. They worked great. We used them day in and day out. The batteries charge fast. The range was good. If you get enough people and enough staging in the way, of course you're going to lose reception over a couple hundred feet and how many walls. But I never felt like they were oversold in terms of range. I love these things, they made our work lives easier and better every day.

[GFSK] These are great!

Flip down to talk.  Flip up to mute your mic.

There is one hub belt  that you hook up to 1 wired headset.  The other headsets are headset only, so you can listen and talk no belt pack needed.

Comes with a bag and 8 battery charger.
