[3000 to 6500K] Just received this piece of equipment today from B&H, right out of the box you can tell it is well-built, operating the light was smooth and flawless, hats off to Dracast, can't wait for the next shoot to put this baby to work.

[3000 to 6500K] I purchased three of these lights with the gold mount battery plate from B&H's Deal Zone and got three Dracast barndoors and three Dracast air-cushioned light stands free. The LED500 Pro bi-color lights are incredible. The build is crazy durable. The chassis & frame, the yoke, the knobs, the rocker switch, etc. are all VERY high quality. These lights are professional quality (95 CRI), and look professional. They really pack a punch. The light they cast is flicker free. There are 250 daylight temperature and 250 tungsten temperature LED bulbs. If set to 3200K or 5600K, only 250 bulbs are on but are still VERY bright. If set between 3200K and 5600K all 500 bulbs are on and even more bright. The 0-100% dimming is also excellent. The only potential negative is that the 500 led bulbs are exposed. The instruction manual said my light was supposed to include x1 Clear plastic LED board protector, but it did not. It came with a piece of laminate wood that slides into the slot on the front of the frame with shredded edges. The clear plastic would have looked much nicer. The wood just looks like more packing material. Each light comes with a heavy-duty black canvas carrying case with handle and optional strap that will hold the light and yoke inside and the AC adaptor/cords in an outside pocket. There is a 10-foot XLR cord that connects the light to the adapter, and then another 10-foot power chord that connects the adaptor to a wall for a total of a 20' of AC adaptor/cords. The barndoors from Dracast are great as barndoors go. Unlike many barndoors, these are rigid and actually stay in place once opened or closed. The Dracast DLS-805 air-cushioned light stands are decent considering the price. They extend to 7.2'. The knobs are plastic, so I will have to be careful with how I tighten them. The legs were somewhat difficult to open and close initially. Each stand comes with a black canvas carrying case I am VERY happy with the purchase.

[4.125 lb] I am more and more impressed with the lighting and lighting accessories from Dracast. LED lighting that is bi-color so I don't have to mess with color correction gels. This light does not disappoint. I am using it as a fill light along with the honeycomb filter which is quite excellent. You don't even need to use barn doors because the light is so focused in one area and there is plenty of light so I usually just dim it down to where I need it. The problem with many light even with barn doors is that you get a lot of spill where you don't want it. The honeycomb filter is the way to go for me. This light also comes with a soft box and barn doors. I have not used the soft box but it is only because the honeycomb works for me. It is great to have though I am not sure how much it will cut the light down. With the soft box you probably want to use it more for fill than a key light but that is my impression and not based on tests. The price on this light, with the discount makes it quite a value. Dracast continues to impress.

[4.125 lb] I own several of these lights including a three light set. I primarily use them for single-subject indoor shoots. They are great. They are well-made with a metal casing. The user-interface on the back of the light is very user friendly and the companion app is excellent as well. The app connects to the lights automatically so you don't have to make any adjustments to switch to app control. Very convenient.


Overall - These are great lights. Highly recommended.

[3000 to 6500K] Well built and highly efficient LED light! We now have 12 of these lights and they have proven to be durable in the cold and rain of Seattle. We slip a zip lock bag over the light when it's raining, and with the low heat output there is never a problem.

[3000 to 6500K] The way this light works is that when you dial in all tungsten for example, only the tungsten lights are on and the daylight ones are off, so your light output is less. Same with dialing in all daylight. If you put the dial in the middle, then ALL the lights are on and it's much brighter, but you get mixed lighting... I chose this light because I rarely shoot in and ALL tungsten or ALL daylight environment...always mixed lighting in some way. So, instead of screwing around with gels (full, half, quarter, whatever) just turn the dial!!!

[5 VDC] Used for portrait work. Continuous light with intensity and color adjustments.

[5 VDC] I shoot a lot of interviews and projects inside gyms. These lights provide a lot of light for their size. I shoot on an URSA Mini Pro, and these lights just look beautiful on my subjects. I love that I can dial in the color temperature.

I also want to mention that I had a minor issue with the lights at first. I called Dracast customer service, and I got someone on the line right away. They helped me troubleshoot the issue and got it resolved that day. Very happy customer here.

[5 VDC] Great light great price

[Plastic] I had my doubts after only using Arri lights, but wow. This thing is fantastic. You might need some black wrap to make a spot for low-key set ups, because the barn doors aren't enough to do the trick. I think that a soft box might be overkill since this light seems softer over all. Great for interviews, etc. Love that it uses batteries, albeit they are expensive.
