Unlike many center channel speakers, the flagship DM30 produces a thumping bass you can feel. It achieves this by borrowing 3XR architecture from the Definitive Descend series, where a built-in 8" subwoofer is combined with dual 8" passive radiators to maximize low-end response. Please note that the built-in subwoofer is active and requires AC power via the included cable.

You can control the level of bass you want via a dedicated knob on the DM30, but don't worry about turning it up. Built-in intelligent bass processing works to seamlessly blend the bass with the mids and highs as you dial it up, so the increased low-end sound doesn't interfere with sound effects or dialogue.

The four 5.25" midrange woofers in the DM30 feature BDSS (Balanced Double Surround System) and Linear Response Waveguide technology. Together, they improve sound excursion, midrange detail, and extend off-axis dispersion, resulting in a large and immersive soundstage.

The DM30 is timbre-matched to seamlessly integrate with other Definitive Technology series of speakers, such as other speakers in the Dymension, Dymension CI, and Mythos lines.

Wrapped in acoustically transparent black grille cloth, the DM30 is made to disappear into your room. Without any distracting LED lights, the DM30 keeps your focus on what you're watching.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How do you set and un set VOX mode ?

A: There is no VOX mode available on these radios.

Q: 2. How do we disable the privacy beep that happens every 15 seconds?

A: According to page 17 in the manual; "Shunt J5 enables/disables the supervisory tone feature. Move the shunt to the OFF position to disable the supervisory tone. When the privacy tone is disabled, a short 1 second audio interruption will be noticed every 15 seconds when intercom communication is in progress." https://www.bogen.com/sites/default/files/2021-01/pi35a_si35a_manual_0.pdf

Q: 3. I have a question regarding this speaker. I bought a pair with CS3 Bookshelf and subwoofer from Sony. I need to choose an AVR and I am quite confused. The CS3 has a 145 Watts maximum input power. On the Web, I have found that choosing an underpowered AVR could damage the speaker due to clipping. I have also found that there should be no problem with a more powerful AVR. Finding an amplifier or AVR supporting 6 ohms speakers with 145 Watts maximum is not obvious for a 7.2.6 home cinema room. What should I choose: an underpowered amplifier/AVR or a more powerful one? For example, is choosing an AVR of 170W for 6 ohms with 2 channel driven would be okay (the power decreases when all channels are used)? Thanks in advance.

A: You will not need n amplifier or receiver that is rated to the maximum peak input power of this speaker. You will not have to worry about clipping if the receiver is rated from say 65 to 125 watts RMS per channel at 6 ohms. SOONY does not provide the more accurate RMS or Continuous rating, but it is closer to 75w per channel at 6 ohms.

Q: 4. How do you set these up to my 52 inch Samsung

A: A receiver would be needed to power these along with two front speakers.

Q: 5. Can this unit be used with DUO-C198 v-mount battery?

A: Yes, this charger will work with the DUO-C198 V-Mount Batteries.

Q: 6. What's the recommended distance between the Wave-Eight speaker and the mixer before wireless connection becomes unstable?

A: The range of the AlphaTheta WAVE-EIGHT Portable 8" DJ Speaker with SonicLink Technology's SonicLink Technology will depend on line of sight and local 2.4 GHz activity. A reasonable estimate for ideal maximum range would be 100-150'.

Q: 7. Can i use this in India?

A: Yes, the SS-CS3 is powered by your receiver and/or your amp.

Q: 8. What type of frequency is used UHF or VHF?

A: The Midland LXT500VP3 uses FRS and GMRS services which operate in the UHF band.

Q: 9. Do they have a voice activation mode (VOX on all the other FRS' I've purchased)?

A: Yes most of the other Midland two way radios do have e Vox. Normally 3 levels of easy voice activation.

Q: 10. im from India.. It's International Warranty?

A: The included warranty is USA only.

[1.1-Channel] Love these speakers! For the size they produce a very full sound, the bass radiator really makes the difference in my view. Very well made too. I'm using them for satellites in my home theater and they work great for movies and music. Can't say enough good things about them!

[6 Ohms] Definitive Technology has done it again with DM70s! These towers are just as awesome as stated in the Audioholics review - https://www.audioholics.com/tower-speaker-reviews/def-tech-dymension-dm70-dm20/#toc-h2-3. I consider myself to be an advanced intermediate level Home Theater enthusiast and these speakers deliver on all levels, bass, mids, and highs. Prior to upgrading to the DM70s I owned the BP8020s, great speakers but comparing them to the DM70s is an apples and oranges comparison. The build quality has been greatly improved. The lack of LFE input isn’t missed and is an enhancement because this design approach opens the door to using 4 DM70s or more in a system with full-range audio at all channels! They definitely hit deep as u can see from my MultEQ-X measurements, without applying my room target curve these speakers play down in the 20Hz range. These speakers can easily be utilized without a dedicated sub but adding one definitely will take your system to the next level. I recommend 2 subs if you have the space to maintain balance. The highs are very articulate but not overly bright and the height of the mid/highs module is optimal for listening in a seated position. If you are searching for your next set of towers look no further, you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

[Class-D] I already owned a Pro 100 system for my home theater. I finished my basement and bought some less expensive models as this was a music only system. Needless to say after several months I bought 4 ProMonitor 1000s. I am now a Definitive only person. In the future I will no longer waste money on other speakers.BR

[Sealed] I purchased this center speaker mainly because during a movie the dialog could not be heard clearly due to no speaker connected to the center channel on my setup.
I was very reluctant to purchase since this particular manufacturer name was not familiar to me. Secondly I was not sure how it would sound with the Bose speakers in the front and surround. Due to limited space I took my chance. It has been one week since I bought. After connecting and setting up the Audassy, the sound reproduction is great. It took to a different dimensions with the rest of the speakers. The ProCenter 1000 is very crispy and has a very good definition. The whole set up gives you a depth and could hear to the complete spectrum of the sound. I would recommend to anyone . I am very satisfied.

[1.1-Channel] I have these speakers, coupled to 800's surrounds, a pro center 2000 center, and a super cube subwoofer. These speakers, as my reveiw of the center says, are truly rock solid, with zero discernible distortion. You would have to raise the volume to ludicrous levels in order to make these things tremble. They are very musical, and reproduce notes with great realism and ease. I would seriously suggest pairing them to a super cube subwoofer, which is a thing of beauty itself. There is a scene in one of the Spiderman films where "Doc Oc" initiates a fusion, and the sound, which was at reasonable mid volume, literally made me jump, really conveyed the power of the reaction. Love these monitors, make sure you couple them to a quality receiver, using higher gauge speaker wire.

[6 Ohms] A speaker that is all of 8" x 4" and still makes for great, non-tiring music listening sessions is a wonderful thing. I am using these in a 2.1 with a Harman Kardon receiver and a Martin Logan sub and even movies sound great. And this is while I am still working on figuring out the best crossover from the sub to the satellites.

[Black] After researching every speaker in a 5.1 setup in 2006, I listened to Black Sabbath Paranoid in the Best Buy Magnolia Room and these were a standout for the price and size. I have a 14x17 living room with little floor space. Once setup at home with a Sony STRDA5300ES receiver and Audio Quest cables, my friends and me were shocked how good this Pro Series sounded! 4 Pro 1000 monitor, 1 Pro 1000 center and a Pro 1000 sub. For close to 18 years this Rocked me and my neighbors every day! Poor neighbors LOL. They do get better with age and I can see why Def Tech still sells this line. Cannot go wrong with these if you need to save space and get amazing sound from movies or music. Mine were on the stands that go with them. I would definitely recommend these to anyone! I just recently upgraded to the BP9040 with Atmos module s and SR9080 a DN10 sub. My Pro 1000 are now kicking but in the bedroom!
