Great bit of equipment, from the packaging to the instructions the entire product oozes quality.

Absolutely LOVE this enclosure! Been searching for ANYTHING CLOSE to the XRackPro2 by GizMac (I believe they closed shop - so sad). I wish it was a little taller than 9U, but I made it work for my purposes by installing some smaller components in the back. Built SOLID! Love the quality construction! Fans are powerful without being too loud. And, of course, does a good job at noise reduction. Not as good as the XRackPro2 with noise reduction ... but all in all, DOES A GREAT JOB!

When I was looking at this item, I couldn't find a review, so, I thought I would write one. The Server rack was delivered on a pallet, well boxed. The only assembly required was adding the wheels and levelers. The rack is very well constructed. Was easy to add systems as all doors and side panels come off. It came with a full set of server screws/nuts, 3 sets of keys, the back door does have six fans installed. The sound insulation is pre-installed on both sides and back. My setup includes a fully loaded Dell PowerEdge 2950 III, a Dell PowerVault MD1000 (with all 15 drives installed), a UPS, and a Switch. I originally had this in a standard 24u Compaq rack with metal screen front/back doors. It was so loud, you could hear it all over the house and all family members complained (and I could NOT stand to work in my home office). I finally put it offline when I ordered this rack for sanity's sake. Rack arrived yesterday (about 2 weeks ship time total). In this cabinet, I set it all up, and brought it it all online. I was VERY impressed with the LOW noise level. Family came home, no one noticed until they saw shares were back online and backups were running. No one heard a thing. Is it completely silent? No. Is it very quiet? Yes. Now I have no problem working in my office, having meetings on my speaker phone (no issues for me or people on the other end, I asked).

It’s been a decade since I built a computer, and I thought that not much could have changed on the case front. Boy was I wrong! This case was a wonder to work with. The magnetic enclosures are so much simpler and slicker than the old school screws, and being able to do wiring from the other side makes it look so sweet!

The case feels luxurious throughout. The hard drive cage interferes with power wiring a little, however, and that is my only complaint, but just assume you’re going to remove it, as I did, and use the two 2.5 slots behind the motherboard, or else use M.2 drives.

Bottom line: this case has significant convenience and super-high-quality materials and build. It was enough to make me write a review, which I hardly ever do!

Bought this a year ago and its built like a tank. All doors are removable, and the swinging doors are fantastic. The top panel has really nice brush cutouts for running cabling.

This case is great to build in, with a very well thought-out layout. I like that you can remove the entire top - it made it easier to maneuver my arms inside the case when installing a motherboard than some other cases I've tried.

It's a very quiet case, and can be made even quieter with the right aftermarket fans. That being said, my build runs a little bit hotter than it probably would in some other cases, but that's to be expected since this case is more focused on minimizing noise than on maximizing airflow. Just something to keep in mind for your intended use.

No RGB is a BIG plus for me. It's hard to find a good minimalist case these days, and this certainly is one. I'm a software developer who does some casual gaming and light video editing, but I'm also a musician, so having dependable equipment that gets out of my way so I can focus on what I'm actually doing is important to me.


The other big plus is the front panel USB 3.1 Gen II (10 Gbps). Love the fast charging for my phone, and the fact that I can plug in USB Type-C accessories without an adapter. Just make sure your motherboard has the right header (I'm using an Asus TUF Gaming X570-Pro right now).

One fan was DOA, but everything else about the case was mechanically and cosmetically perfect. I was planning to swap out the fans for different ones anyway so it doesn't affect my review.


In summary, if you're looking for a well-built, non-RGB case that's quiet and offers front panel USB Type-C, this case is for you.

This case is ALL BLACK, no (or very little) RGB from the internals are visible. Chose this for my first build: (near) complete dissassembly for ease of access, stock fans are quiet and functional (did add a 140 fan, to increase internal pressure), good wire management, panels remove easily and attach securely. Great quality and not too big.

The build quality is outstanding and Fractal has provided so many options/configurations it's amazing! I needed a 5-1/4 drive bay and this was one of the few modern cases that provided one. I kind of wish I had gone for the XL version and gotten 2 bays, but I REALLY like the white interior which isn't available in the XL. I have a Kingwin KF-255-BK hot-swap rack in the 5-1/4 bay and still had room for a (white) 360 AIO in the top!

This is a sturdy and secure server rack for those unique situations. I'm happy with the purchase. And it came assembled. Even better.

Over the years I have dealt with many different rack systems, thou not the largest, this by far is the most sturdiest built piece of equipment that I have ever seen.

Really the only con that I could find while putting the cabinet together, was the treads of some of the bolt and screw holes were not cleaned properly after painting which makes for difficult screw inserting. This can be fixed easily enough by the end user if they insert the screw before hand, on certain parts like the side posts, to help alleviate the chances of cross threading.

If your looking for something small enough to fin inside a small office, to drop a couple servers and more into this in my opinion is the perfect solution.
