[0.29 lb] I've been very happy with this lens, such a big upgrade from my kit lenses.

[Neoprene] Sold our EF 70-200 F2.8 IS that needed the adapter for the R series cameras. It worked, but the lens was heavy and auto focus was a bit fiddly. We noticed that we didn't use it wide open that often and felt the weight and size savings would make the lens overall more useful. So, it's more similar to the 25-105 F/4 which I use all the time. So far, I really like it. Light, compact, excellent autofocus, beautiful images. Excellent value.

[0.29 lb] Very lightweight and great for hiking and backpacking. Beautiful photo s and videos from this lens. Great for portraits too. I used it to take volleyball pics and videos at my grandson’s games. The f4 lens does a good job and the pics were very sharp. Buy the f4, it’s a great lens for sports, even at night.

[Neoprene] Image quality is amazing, very smooth, and lighter weight than expected!!! I love the focal range, and the ease of use! It also has a lock that is nice so you don’t accidentally have it retract out unexpectantly!

[Neoprene] As you would expect from Canon's L lens series the glass is outstanding. From 70mm to 200mm I cannot find fault at all with this lens. The zoom is silky smooth, focus is exact and fast, and you don't need to worry about bokeh at f4, there is bokeh in abundance with enough background blur to satisfy even the most critical photographer.
I absolutely love this lens and have zero regrets for not spending the big bucks on the f2.8. I shoot mainly portraits and landscapes and the f4 is more than enough for my needs.

[Neoprene] I do a lot of backpacking and have come to really like my iPhone 15 for wide angle and normal views. I purchased this lens to give me better telephoto capability. It has not disappointed. The construction, IS and lightweight make this a great lens for my purposes.

I do wish the hood were more compact, though. It doesn't fit in my old Domke bag while attached in reverse. AND why's it gotta be blinding white? That makes sense for the lens, I guess.........
