A: Buy the empty Pelican 1600, no foam. Save a few bucks.

A: The top lid foam is found in this foam set. The TrekPak organizer would be a separate purchase.

A: There is not a Pelican Air equivalent of the 1600TP .

Q: 9. Can I get a two-piece setup? Don't need the eggcrate

A: Unfortunately we do not sell just the two piece without the egg shell, however you could contact Pelican if you need just the certain pieces of foam.

Q: 10. Does B&H have a partner that can Laser Cut a custom insert for the foam/case?

A: No. In fact, there is no vendor for that type of service. Even if there was, it would cost much more than the foam, itself. Do what I did - layout the cubes of foam you want pulled, then pay a kid to pull the cubes to spec.

[5.6 lb] Pick and pluck foam is the way to go! I have had other Pre-shaped foam and it tends to give way over time. The ability to create your own space for gear is second-to-none because you can add or remove foam cubes to fit any shape. I recommend this material for anyone that has precious equipment on the go! 5

[5.6 lb] I bought a used 1550 case a long time ago and the equipment it stored is very outdated. Reorganized and purchased new foam. This stuff is great and it fits my case perfectly. I have other Pelican cases that I've had longer and the pull apart foam lasts forever. Really the only downside is if you ever have to change what goes into the case you have to put the stuff back in Tetris-style or buy new foam (which it isn't the cheapest). Still, the quality makes up for it. 5

[5.6 lb] This product allow you to create the form wich do you wish to fix your gear, is hard enough to keep the equipment in their site and soft enough to protect them without cause any damage, is also funny, my only complain is...well you can try just once, but is absolutly great 5
