A: There are straps on all sides and a loop at the top. You can hang easily hang it vertically or horizontally. The trick is learning how to fold it up. I found a video on YouTube that shows how to do it and with 2 or 3 practices it is easy to fold up. It is nice addition to a portable studio set up.

A: No the item does not come with a stand. I recommend a sturdy stand at least a Manfrotto not the Lastolite (Lastolite 3355 Bracketed Stand) as it is way too light and will just tip over - I know I got this. Another recommendation is a Lastolite Magnetic Background Support (LL LB1120). This attached to the top of your light stand and the background will just click onto the magnets. Hope this help.
