This case is ALL BLACK, no (or very little) RGB from the internals are visible. Chose this for my first build: (near) complete dissassembly for ease of access, stock fans are quiet and functional (did add a 140 fan, to increase internal pressure), good wire management, panels remove easily and attach securely. Great quality and not too big.

I am using this for a Ryzen 3900X build with the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master, Noctua NH-D-15S, 2 Samsung M.2 drives, GeForce 1060, 2 7,200RPM SATA drives, and a Blu-Ray optical drive. It is one of the only modern cases with a 5.25 drive bay, good airflow/noise balance, and USB Type-C on the front panel. This case is dead quiet compared to my Cooler Master Sniper I used on my last Intel build. Connectivity is great and I like that I can remove the side door without a thumbscrew. I specifically chose the solid side panel over tempered glass for durability and again this was a somewhat rare feature when requiring the other specs. Love it.

I love this case for its classic look and versatility. I've never seen a case that had some many ways to reconfigure. You want water cooling options? Done. You want lots of hard drive space? Done. You want to install a large graphics card? Done. You want a lot of fans for air cooling? Done. You want a quite case? Done.
I would consider this case on the large side of a mid size case. But this is part of what allows you do use the case in so many ways.

You have some good front panel connection options. USB 2, USB 3, USB 3.1 Gen 2, HD Audio, power switch, and power reset. It doesn't have a hard drive LED. I ended up connecting the power LED to the hard drive connecter on the motherboard and it flashes with hard drive access.

There are only a couple of downsides that I found.
I really liked the fan hub (not sure of its technical name) that allowed me to connect 6 fans to a single connector on the motherboard and control all 6 at the same time.
I installed 7 hard drives and 1 optical drive. The case comes with 6 hard drive trays, and I needed 7. It was hard to find anyone with the trays in stock. I finally bought some from eBay but they didn't include any of the screws and grommets. These should be more widely available.
The other is the weight of the case. I believe this is mainly because of all the sound dampening material in the case. Luckly I don't move the case.

I am very happy with this case. It is easy to open (no tools required) and offers all the features I was looking for with a clean look.

Wanted to be for my optical describe so I can burn the occasional Blu-ray to share videos with friends and family. There are very few options available today, and likely none with the build quality and features of this case. I love how easy it is to take off the sides and top with no tools. It feels very solid. One caution: you do need to realign some of the components to make room for the optical drive. These are outlined in the manual, though not with text so it’s a little hard to figure out. But you’ll get it.

I used this case for a new gaming build. The case is solid metal and is heavy. Not in a bad way, just solid. It is logically built, and all of the parts come off easily as you would expect. The fans run quiet (which is nice) although I haven't yet slammed the PC in a way that would jump the heat and cause the fans to ramp. The case is huge, and there is a ton of open space after the build. I'm running a ROG 790 with a Noctua NH-D15 Chromax cooler and the case is still 50% open space.

Bottom line for me is that I totally dig this case and would absolutely purchase it again.

So much space and so easy to build in! Definitely one of the best cases out there for first time and veteran builders!

When I was looking at this item, I couldn't find a review, so, I thought I would write one. The Server rack was delivered on a pallet, well boxed. The only assembly required was adding the wheels and levelers. The rack is very well constructed. Was easy to add systems as all doors and side panels come off. It came with a full set of server screws/nuts, 3 sets of keys, the back door does have six fans installed. The sound insulation is pre-installed on both sides and back. My setup includes a fully loaded Dell PowerEdge 2950 III, a Dell PowerVault MD1000 (with all 15 drives installed), a UPS, and a Switch. I originally had this in a standard 24u Compaq rack with metal screen front/back doors. It was so loud, you could hear it all over the house and all family members complained (and I could NOT stand to work in my home office). I finally put it offline when I ordered this rack for sanity's sake. Rack arrived yesterday (about 2 weeks ship time total). In this cabinet, I set it all up, and brought it it all online. I was VERY impressed with the LOW noise level. Family came home, no one noticed until they saw shares were back online and backups were running. No one heard a thing. Is it completely silent? No. Is it very quiet? Yes. Now I have no problem working in my office, having meetings on my speaker phone (no issues for me or people on the other end, I asked).

It’s been a decade since I built a computer, and I thought that not much could have changed on the case front. Boy was I wrong! This case was a wonder to work with. The magnetic enclosures are so much simpler and slicker than the old school screws, and being able to do wiring from the other side makes it look so sweet!

The case feels luxurious throughout. The hard drive cage interferes with power wiring a little, however, and that is my only complaint, but just assume you’re going to remove it, as I did, and use the two 2.5 slots behind the motherboard, or else use M.2 drives.

Bottom line: this case has significant convenience and super-high-quality materials and build. It was enough to make me write a review, which I hardly ever do!

Absolutely LOVE this enclosure! Been searching for ANYTHING CLOSE to the XRackPro2 by GizMac (I believe they closed shop - so sad). I wish it was a little taller than 9U, but I made it work for my purposes by installing some smaller components in the back. Built SOLID! Love the quality construction! Fans are powerful without being too loud. And, of course, does a good job at noise reduction. Not as good as the XRackPro2 with noise reduction ... but all in all, DOES A GREAT JOB!

The Define 7 is the 4th Fractal Design case I've built a computer in(Define S, R6, Mesify C) and it is plain to see Fractal has iterated on and improved their designs in each successive case. The modularity and adaptability of this case very impressive due to the included accessories.

The only two complaints I have are 1) I wish the included fans were PWM and 2) I wish the removable top radiator mount was tool-less like the side panels instead of held in by two screws. Beyond that, it's easily the best case I've ever built in.
