[Melamine, Steel] I bought this tower workstation to use for video editing. It has been a dream to work with and I'm amazed you can get this much power for this price. I swapped out the video card, otherwise it's as is in my edit bay.

[Melamine, Steel] I purchased this to replace my HP Z820. Immediately I noticed the difference in BIOS functionality between the two. With an internet connection I was able to update the G4 firmware and the remainder of the settings was straightforward and intuitive. The BIOS interface I would describe as almost being graphical. I use HP exclusively because of their excellent support. Good job HP and B&H Photo!

[Melamine, Steel] I bought computer to replace 5 year old computer that no longer could handle (as in glacially slow) the newer versions of Photoshop. Plenty of needed horsepower for editing photos. Support is terrific. HP technician showed up within 24 hours when I thought I had an issue with video. I am totally inept with hardware issues. Technician politely updated BIOS for me and solved supposed hardware issue.

[1] Very happy with this purchase. The computer came equipped with a 500 GB SSD drive and no Wi-Fi. I added an Asus PCE-AX58BT Wi-Fi Adapter and a 6 TB WD Black 3.5 internal hard drive, both of which were relatively easy to install. I did have to purchase a SATA cable for the hard drive separately. I recommend at least an 18 SATA cable with right angle head on it.

[Melamine, Steel] I upgraded from an old HP 6540 machine. The Z2 installed easily and has good internet speed. I do lots of photo work and photo file manipulations and the GPU works great with what I have given it. Mine came with a pcie card with 4 mini Display ports. I would rather not have had those and didn't know they would be installed. Had to get cables and adapters for full Display ports. I use dual monitors. I am well-pleased with the machine and would buy another like it.

[Melamine, Steel] This is a review for i7-9700, 500GB SSD, 16 GB RAM, no GPU version. This is an ideal workstation for professional applications that do not require the added cost of a GPU. Of course, this is configured to simplify adding a GPU at at later time, if needed for graphics-intensive work or gaming. It comes equipped with a beefy power supply and easy, no-tool access to the ample interior--with generous additional bays and connectors--which simply the process. As equipped, this makes a fantastic uber-desktop for handling MS office software, Adobe PDF, internet use, watching videos (and light editing), recording and mixing audio using Cubase or other DAW. It is exceptionally well made, using top quality parts. Owing to the heavy duty power supply and the SSD, this PC is nearly silent. The CPU (i7-9700) is a top performer for desktop office and audio tasks, and the included 16 GB RAM is more than enough to speed up workflow. The particular PCIe M.2 SSD is a high performance beast! Cubase and other software load quickly and this tower boots up unbelievably fast. HP support is exceptional, if you ever need it. One big advantage of getting a workstation model like this as opposed to a standard desktop, is that the 3-year onsite warranty and support are included in the price of the workstation. No added fees for upgraded warranty. B & H staff is consistently awesome at every stage--pre-ordering advice, suggesting upgraded components, website ordering, in-store pickup and Guest Technical Services. I used the onsite Guest Tech Services staff at the B & H store to install a secondary internal SSD that I purchased at the same time as this workstation. They were fast, professional, friendly, and extremely reasonably priced.
