The Novoflex A Mount to Canon RF-Mount Short Lens Adapterallows you to mount a Novoflex A-mount universal bellows unit to a Canon RF-mount camera. This adapter features a short design since a longer adapter will simply act as an extension tube when used with a bellows unit, and this will help keep the system more compact and usable. It will not focus to infinity or transfer lens functions.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Am I able to attach this to Novoflex bellow?

A: Yes, the Novoflex Reversing Adapter for Canon RF-Mount can be used with the bellows plus an RF lens.

Q: 2. will this adapter work with red komodo?

A: 100% Yes, the following adapter will work with your Komodo. Just keep in mind that we are driving all lens manually.

Q: 3. Does this adapter maintain all RF automatic lens functions? (i.e.: Auto focus, Aperture and control ring)?

A: According to Novoflex, the Novoflex Automatic Reverse Adapter for Canon RF-Mount Including Heliopan Protection Filter would maintain both auto-aperture and autofocus on an RF mount lens/camera.

Q: 4. Will this allow the Nikon 200-500 to autofocus on an R6?

A: No it will not.

Q: 5. is that possible to control aperture of Nikon pc-e lenses?

A: No, the blue ring on the Novoflex Nikon F Lens to Canon RF-Mount Camera Adapter cannot control the aperture on any Nikon F-mount lenses under the E line. The Nikon E line of lenses have an electromagnetic diaphragm, which can only be controlled through electronic communication in the camera.

Q: 6. Transitioning from T3i to A7s. Want to keep my EF lenses, specially my Sigma 20mm 1.8. I know the aperture can't be controlled with this adapter, but my question is: do EF lenses fit with this mount even though the aperture can't be changed? If the only problem is the aperture, I can use the T3i to set it, problem solved.

A: The Novoflex EF Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera adapter will allow you to mount your EF mount lenses onto the a7S, yes.

Q: 7. The illustration for Canon RF lenses shows the 24-105 f/4 L lens (with a 77mm filter thread) Which RF lenses is this reverse adapter compatible with? Will it work with the RF 85 mm f/2 Macro?

A: Novoflex states that the Novoflex Automatic Reverse Adapter for Canon RF-Mount Including Heliopan Protection Filter is for Canon RF wide angle prime or zoom lenses only.

Q: 8. Can I use this with Tamron 24-70mm F2.8 for Nikon F mount on Canon R6 ?

A: Yes, you can use the Novoflex Nikon F Lens to Canon RF-Mount Camera Adapter to mount a Nikon F-mount lens to the Canon R6 camera.

Q: 9. Can I use E type lens (Nikon 28 f1.4 E) with this adapter and have some kind of aperture control? If not then can you advise me another option please. Thanx.

A: No, if used with the new E type lenses from Nikon there will be no aperture control as they are controlled by an electromagnetic mechanism. It will be compatible with Nikon's original series E which had a 28mm f/2.8 lens. Unfortunately, at this time there is no adapter that can control the aperture on the new E-Series lenses.

Q: 10. Reversing Adapter for Canon RF-Mount is it usable on the 35mm RF lenses to used on the Nikon ES-2 Film Digitizing Adapter Set?

A: Novoflex Reversing Adapter for Canon RF-Mount will shorten the minimum focusing distance too much. That won't work on the Nikon ES-2 Film Digitizing Adapter Set because that adapter requires the minimum focusing distance to be exactly according to the specification of the lenses it works with.

[Metal] Bought to use with a set of Nikon ZF on my Komodo. What a great mount. Very solid build quality. No play at all. Very happy with this buy

[Black] Compared to the existing FD lens to EOS camera adapters (with the optical element/lens for infinity focus) this German made lens mount feels solid and gives a snug fit.
FD lens focus is not a problem depending on the condition of ones FD lenses and the images are reasonably sharp.
Downside is the relative expense of this unit, but you get what you pay for!

[Metal] I purchased this adapter so that I could used my collection of Canon New FD lenses on my Canon EOS R6 Mark II. The Novoflex adapter is simpler than just about all of the other adapters out there (with the exception of the Rayqual adapter) which is a plus in my book. It also locks in place as well as my RF 28mm F2.8 on my R6 Mark II.

To mount the adapter, you simply align the red dot on your lens with the white dot on the adapter, turn it so that the red dot on the lens aligns with the red dot above the O in Novoflex, and then turn the lens back the other way until the button clicks (if you're using a New FD lens. The motion looks forms a sideways U and you don't have to worry about a fiddly ring.

[Metal] But after using it, I absolutely love it! I'm using this on my Komodo so I can use my Nikkor kit with my Komodo. There is no give with this converter. It is solid! The give I experienced actually comes from my Komodo's RF mount (which was a poor design choice by RED imo). I also really like the lens release on this. It's really pronounced and makes swapping easy, especially if you're in a dimly lit situation. Finally, the added blue step-less aperture adjustment ring is smooth and has the right amount of play that's not too loose and not too tight for smooth adjustments. Only downside is I don't know what my iris is at on my G-type Nikkor lenses, but that's to be expected. Yes, this is the most expensive than some of the other converters, but I think it's worth it. I'm always blown away by the people who will only spend $40 on an adaptor and support a lens that costs 10x-100x more on a body that costs 100x more than the adaptor and then complain about it sucking or breaking their lens. None of that here!

[Black] Seats the lens perfectly and attaches like Canon-made RF. Precision machining. Yes, it's comparatively expensive, but engineered and manufactured without compromise, made in Germany.

With its nice finish, when the lens is affixed the pair appears as if a single item. Only a photographer would notice that it's an adapted lens.

I do wish it came with caps, but instead comes in a dust-sealed plastic box with a U-channel where the lid mates, and with padding in the bottom.

[Black] This adapter is nicer than the online images. Most Novoflex stuff exhibits quality machining. The fit is good, the finish (anodize?) on the aluminum seems to always wear a little in a short time.

[Metal] I wanted top quality product considering I use so many Canon FD lenses on my modern Canon full frame. My Novoflex adapter looks great and works flawlessly. This product is certainly expensive - but considering that it is made in Germany and is the only one I will ever need - I am able to be super happy about it every single time I change a lens. I do not regret buying it and would do it all over again.

[Metal] I started with the Metabones, but the tolerances on the RF side were just a little too sloppy for me.
The Novoflex fits great, and feels like an actual canon RF lens being put on or removed.
Will buy a second for my other FD lens.

[Black] I was afraid at first when I see the other review, after I tried, this fits as good as it gets. The spring loaded mount can not eliminate all room of movement but this one fits snug. May be they improved?
