Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this adapter accept one of nova flex’s arca-Swiss compatible collars? I would like to use this to mount heavier lenses on a tripod.

A: Unfortunately not. None of the Novoflex collars would fit on the this adapter.

Q: 2. Is it possible to use this adapter to fit an old alpha lens on a a6400 e mount camera?

A: Yes this should allow your old Alpha A-mount lenses to be mounted on an A6400 E-Mount.

Q: 3. Does this adaptor work with Nikon F lenses that already have their own aperture rings?

A: Yes this will work on Nikon F Mount lenses, the newer G-series as well as the D-series with the manual aperture rings.

Q: 4. Hi, according to the Novoflex website, they say: "Adapter ring that lets you mount a Fujifilm GFX-camera to the BALPRO1 or BALPRO T/S universal bellows. Please note: A GFX-100 needs an additional spacer ring PRO25 in-between the bellows rear standard and the adapter. It would otherwise collide with the standard." I am wondering if this applies to the GFX 100S model as well?

A: No, the Novoflex 25mm Ext Tube for Balpro (MFR #PRO25) is not necessary for mounting the FUJIFILM GFX 100S Medium Format Mirrorless Camera to the Novoflex BALPRO 1. The PRO25 is only necessary for the larger FUJIFILM GFX 100 Medium Format Mirrorless Camera as the bottom of the camera would interfere with the BALPRO 1 otherwise. This is not an issue with the smaller GFX 100S.

Q: 5. Why am I unable to fire the shutter on my X-Pro2 with this adapter and a 50mm Minolta MC macro lens?

A: The camera doesn't recognize that the adapter is mounted as there are no electronic contacts. First, enable the "shoot without lens’ option in the menu under ‘BUTTON/DIAL SETTING’ sub-menu in the setup menu.

Q: 6. Does it work with a Sony A7sii?

A: Yes it does

Q: 7. What's the net weight of this adapter?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not provided the net weight of this product to us. It would be recommended that you contact them for more detailed specifications than those that they have published. The package weight is 0.25 lb so it will be less than that, but we do not have a specific weight for it.

Q: 8. There are three reviews, which all shower praises on the build quality of the adapter. That goes without saying – Novoflex makes excellent products and charges a premium price, and that point is beyond debate. But the reviews completely missed what is really relevant: how do the Leica M mount lenses optically perform on a Fuji GFX camera? What kind of resolution do you get from the image files? Can you get sharp images to the edges and corners? Are there any acute ray angle issues that you see with M lenses on other 35mm full-frame mirrorless cameras like the Sony A7 / A7R or the Panasonic S1 / S1R? Can you specify the focal length of the lens mounted so the Fuji camera can apply image stabilization? I would appreciate any insights on these. TIA.

A: Reviews are the opinions of customers and we print them when we have them. Those are the only opinions that have been submitted for this product to date.

Q: 9. Can I use Minolta sr mount lenses with this?

A: I use the adapter with my lenses that I had for my Minolta SRT 101. The lens I use mainly is a Kiron 72mm zoom. The auto focus does not work but I have never used an auto focus camera so that does not bother me.

Q: 10. Is this wholly constructed of aluminum or are the bearing surfaces of more durable materials?

A: The body of the Novoflex Hasselblad V Lens to Fujifilm G-Mount Camera Adapter (B&H# NOFUGHA) is made of aluminum with the bayonet area being an especially strong alloy.

[Metal] Works well for adapting my M mount lenses to my Fuji GFX 50r. I’m also using it to adapt old LTM lenses that I have an LTM to M adapter for. Then I attach this M to G adapter and I haven’t had any issues at all.
Would recommend.

[Metal] I have an old Vintage 75-205 Miida Lens from a Minolta SRT-101 Camera. I was astonished at how well this adapter and lens worked on my Fuji XT-3. Now I can use a Lens that my father used. He would have had a nice surprise.

[Metal] Allows one to use Minolta lens on a Fujifilm X-mount such as an XT-1. The quality of your phots will, I believe, be the result of the quality of the Minolta lens since the adapter does not appear to effect the lens operating on a Fujifilm X-mount camera. I used the adapter for Minolta manual focus lens from the 1970's.

[FUJIFILM G] I skipped the lower $ units available from different manufacturers hoping this one would be a keeper 1st round. It definitely is & worth the $. I appreciate the fit & finish & the built in tripod collar on Pro version is a big bonus for me as I use it as part of hand hold with Fuji XT2. Real nice for 135 & up. I do same thing with a EF 400 5.6 L as it also has a tripod collar , albeit on a Canon 7D. I change lens a lot as I have 10 MC/MD lenses & use them all. It's a enjoyable experience as it's super precise & smooth on mount & dismount. I'll stay with this brand if I go on a lens binge from different manufacturers then Minolta.
Minolta rocks though & would take a very expensive lens I think to beat what I have.

[FUJIFILM G] It's a simple physical adapter with no electronic connection to the body. So your aperture settings won't be shown in camera or recorded in the files.

It feels very solid and well machined, it didn't feel too tight or too loose on either end.

The only downside was since it was a special order it took a while for it to arrive.

[FUJIFILM G] I have only had this for a short time, but seems to be well made and I have no problem mounting my vintage manual focus lenses to my Fuji X-T3

[0.205 lb] Class A construction. In comparison to the less expensive adapters, it is worth the price difference.

[FUJIFILM G] This is probably the best-made adapter for gfx-M mount. I have tried other adapters and didn’t trust the build quality.
