The Garner SSD-1 Solid-State Destroyer Accessoryadds an additional layer of media obliteration to your PD-5 Hard-Drive Destroyer. Use this NSA-listed accessory to demolish data contained in solid-state media, flash thumb drives, and SSHD (solid-state hybrid drive) controller boards. Place media up to 0.5" high in the SSD-1's destruction chamber, then let the 90 spikes go to work. The drive(s) are punctured and waffled, preventing recorded data from being accessed.

When used with the PD-5 destroyer, this NSA/CSS EPL-listed device complies with a range of stringent standards for data destruction.

A: Yes that will work.

Q: 3. Will an iPad Pro 12.9'' (2020; usbc) be able to connect to and power this unit?

A: The Solid State Logic SSL 2+ USB-C Audio/MIDI Interface is not designed for use with mobile devices like the iPad Pro 12.9"; the current draw is high and the tablet battery will be drained quickly.

A: Yes, this will drive your 250ohm headphones.

A: No, the headphones are summed stereo returns mixed with inputs.

A: I'm afraid not within the unit itself. Normal On: 15 us (Fast) 70 ms (Soft) is as long as it gets.

Q: 7. Odd question, can you use the SSL2 as a 2 Mic mixer and line out to MOTU audio interface that is hooked up to computer?

A: The SSL would still need power from the computer so this will not work.

Q: 8. Can I use the TRS outputs and RCA outputs at the same time(4 speakers)

[8.925 lb] I sold my Apollo Twin after A/B testing the conversion quality and they are equal, however, the SSL 4K button is magical! It adds presence and sparkle that the Apollo lacks and at a third of the price. Add to it dual headphones with separate controls and Midi? It's a bargain! 5

[8.3 lb (3.8 kg)] Great sounding interface. The mix knob is great to dial in direct vs DAW sound. The 4K button is a bit over the top for me. It has enough gain on tap to drive an SM7B without any audible noise. And headphone amps work great on higher impedance cans . 5

[8.3 lb (3.8 kg)] I found a USB interface shootout online, and listened to the recorded samples for multiple units. I really liked the sound of this SSL and had heard good things about the Black Lion Audio Revolution, so I ordered them both to compare. I ended up preferring the sound of the SSL. The Black Lion sounded oversaturated to me while the SSL was more my style: an honest sound, without being clinical. I like it without the 4k setting, but that's a nice option to have, and the RCA outputs are actually perfect for my amp/monitor setup. The pre-amp gain is clean, though I add a Cloudlifter between my sE ribbon mic and the interface. My Senn mics sounded great through the SSL too. Finally, I love that there are two headphone outs! Would recommend this interface, it's a great value. 5

[8.925 lb] Bought this last March,2024 in advance of hurricane season. Luckily, we did not have a direct hit. Having a Yashino 2000 solid state for standby use is reassuring! I checked the charge on it today and applied load. Everything is up to par.... now to prepare for winter outages. 5

The pre-amps are fantastic, the build quality is decent, although not as high as other like Apollo but that's to be expected, and it just works all the time. No additional software is needed and the included SSL plugins are great! 5
