The frame has an overall viewing area of 40.5 x 72" (103 x 183 cm) and will be constructed of aluminum with slip-joints at the corners. A: HI Don, I've had this lens a couple years, on my K-7. I travel for work internationaly, and am an amatuer photog. I like landscapes and a wider field of view even in city streets. It's light, guite fast and compact and seems very durable, even in extreme polar regions. I'm very happy with my pics, but there is some distortion say in city skylines and some horizons, if you use the odd looking rectangular sunshade cover made for the lens seems to help with that alot. It is subject to sunflares from sides but I often just block with my hand. I'd say I'm quite happy with it, Its well made, and I take it everywhere, but again I'm not a pro. For photos of residential landscapes it should work well, but it's not inexpensive as you've probably seen, make sure you take it along to scenic places too if you buy it!
