Q: 8. I have an NEC hybrid phone system. Half the extensions are analog and the other half are VOIP and are housed in a separate location. I have the capability to page where the analog extensions are because the system brain is feeding the PA but at my remote location I need to be able to use the PA function as well. Will this act as an extension that will allow me to call it and speak over the PA??

A: It will act as an analog extension and allow you to call it remotely. We use and VOIP to analog converter on our hosted voice system to connect to this device.

Q: 9. Bought the device recently. Playback is OK, but you can not select directories on USB drive.However, when wanted to make a record, could not do it because unable to select proper input as if input button on remote does not work. Can someone help me?

A: If you plug this from the REC OUT of your receiver to the REC IN of the recorder, you must use the receiver to select the playback source to be recorded. Additionally, it is not clear how to actually start the recording, because hitting the REC button once does not start the recording. You must press it twice rapidly.

[Black / Silver] I purchased this rack for a church system build. The rack arrived without damage and was packaged fairly well. There was some assembly required (installing the wheels) and some of the screws that gold the rack rails in place were loose. After about fifteen minutes I was installing equipment into it. It is well built and should do the job well! 5

[Black / Silver] Though obviously heavier than the ABS-only based cases, this case has been meticulously crafted, with a price tag of about half that of competitive, and sometimes inferior, products. Very well done Odyssey! 5

[Black / Silver] Very solid, nice looking case. Comes with 4 stable, removable rubber feet that will not mar a wood tabletop (perfect for on-location recordists who oftentimes need to use others' tabletops). The only complaint I have is that there was an inventory sticker on the top of mine that left behind an ugly residue I had to clean off with goo gone. The total rail-to-rail depth is 12 1/4 by the way. 5

[Black / Silver] This is a really well-built rack with robust hardware. For essentially the same price as the plastic racks on the market today, this is the best choice for road worthiness and durability. I'm planning on replacing all of my plastic racks (Gator and SKB) because the butterfly latches tend to lose tension over time due to their reduced size. Also, the plastic racks tend to crack in the cold weather and the covers loosen up with a lot of use. This Odyssey rack is really durable, with an attractive black laminate over 3/8 plywood. All hardware is solidly riveted and the covers and latches are tight and work well. The full-size butterfly latches in recessed cups will last for decades, they also have built-in hasps for you to add your own locks for security. I think Hollywood popularized the plastic racks because they look sleek and modern, but this wood rack is also very attractive with the satin black laminate augmented with brushed chrome trim and chrome-plated hardware. Also, I personally think gear loaded in wood racks like this appears more professional looking than the plastic cases. The laminate on this rack holds paint well if you want to spay paint a stencil of your company logo, or rack contents, and dust cleans up quickly with any standard cleaner. This particular rack is a special order item with B&H. That's okay. I submitted my order with B&H and they had the rack drop shipped to me. I received it in about ten business days, no problems. I'm looking forward to replacing all of my cases with these old school Odyssey wood racks. No more plastic racks for me - what's old is new again. 5

[Black / Silver] It took a while to find, but this case is perfect for our wireless In Ear Monitor system. The extra unit of rack space even allows for room to store our body packs ear buds and a couple of short XLR cables, so everything we need to run our ears is all in one box. Shipping was fast as well! 5

[Black / Silver] This half rack case is perfect for my wireless mic and IEM set up. Everything is safe and ready to go. I added the Odyssey 3U rack drawer to the bottom of the unit for all of my accessories. I still had plenty of room to velcro a power strip on top of the drawer, and store the cables to hook into our system. The pouch storage on each door is open for extra stuff.....I could easily fit my iPad and / or my page turn pedal....just haven’t decided. I am looking forward to the easy set up and tear down at the next gig! I should have done this long ago!! 5
