Q: 2. If adapted to other mounts like L Mount or E Mount, could the rear element protrude onto the camera's shutter curtain?

A: There have been no reports of this lens protruding onto the shutter when adapted to a Leica L mount camera or Sony E mount camera.

Q: 3. Is there enough clearance to use this lens on a Techart Pro?

A: There is enough room for the TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 Lens for Leica M to couple to the Techart Pro adapter.

Q: 4. Weight of the Sony Version?

Q: 9. Will there be TTartisan 50mm f0.95 in silver ?

A: According to what I can translate from the official TTartisan website, it looks like this is currently only available in black with no indication of a silver version.

Q: 10. When used on the R5 or R6 does this lens force the camera into 1.6 crop mode with the resulting decrease in megapixels?

A: No, the 7artisans Photoelectric 50mm f/0.95 Lens for Canon RF is a completely manual lens that does not communicate with the camera. As such the camera does not know whether it is a crop lens or not. It is designed for a smaller sensor so you would have very significant vignetting wehn used on full-frame if you do not manually set the camera to crop.

[52 mm (Front)] I use this one on the Leica CL, and my mind switched very strangely to the past when I used to shoot with a Canon AE-1, it was a pleasure, I cannot say everything was gold, but the experience was gold. You just need to take your time to take the picture.

If you do pixel peeping you will find chromatic aberrations and it's really difficult to have everything in focus, but it is a very rewarding lens. I was expecting less from TTArtisans but I'm positively impressed.

I'm thinking the next one will be a 35 (close to 50 on aps-c).

(the picture I upload is untouched, I think it shows the feeling of the lens)

[f/0.95] Lens is built great. Has great bokeh and subject separation, which is why you buy the tool. Yes, it is a little soft and has chromatic aberration, but it's better than every other lens trying to be the Leica 50mm.

[10] On Nikon Z30 it almost feels heavier than the camera itself. Seriously solid piece of hardware. While the quality has a vintage vibe and the heft to it certainly lets you know you have something special. The Bokeh is un-real and who cares about everything else. If its not that sharp on edges, while this is more of a toy lens with cool vibes than but to me its amazing.

[f/0.95] Crisp, sharp images. I thought the manual focus might be challenging but I got great photos. I have lenses that I paid 5x more for that aren't better than this.
The build quality is excellent. Highly recommended.
Using a Nikon Z8. Have to change the frame to DX or you get vignette.

[f/0.95] As its label (50mm f/0.95) would suggest, this lens is an extraordinary photographic tool, either on an M-mount (Leica) camera or, with various adapters, on mirrorless cameras (albeit with manual aperture & manual focus). There's no issue with focusing accuracy with a mirrorless camera, of course, but with an M-mount camera the maximum aperture (f/0.95) accurate focusing may require an adjustment to the lens to work precisely with the camera's rangefinder, and TTArtisan kindly provides the tools and instructions for doing that. My copy of this lens, however, was perfectly adjusted right out of the box (whether that's the exception or the rule, I cannot say). This lens used good materials (metal) and is well put together---a quality product. Is this lens a paragon of optical perfection? No, far from it, but you don't buy an f/0.95 lens for that; you buy it for the unique effects you can obtain at maximum aperture. Is it a world-beating built-like-a-tank masterpiece of optical and mechanical construction like the Leica 50mm Noctilux? No, of course not, but it also costs only about 6% of the price of a Noctilux ($755 vs. $12,795), which makes it an extraordinary value for the money.

[35mm] I got this lens at the end of May. Initially I played around with it did not have much success. Needless to say it has an extremely narrow depth of field. A few days ago, July 5, I went out with the lens mounted on my Fuji X-T3. Suddenly, success. I had a 49 keepers and about ten or so into the trash. What I did was focus very carefully. If you are using the lens wide open, you should not breathe. Yes, it does cost slightly more than twice as much as the TTArtisan 50mm f1.2 and does handle quite as well. Nevertheless, I like it very much and will keep it and use it.

[APS-C] I have the M10 Monochrome, and yes, I feel like a camera snob, but this lens is wonderful particularly for portraits. And honestly I haven't done much with the higher f stops. The bokeh is what one would expect from an f0.95, and the process and results for focusing is just like name brand Leica glass in the M10. At a price less than 10% of the Leica Noctilux, if you're seriously torn between the two, it would totally be worth your time and money to get on a plane, visit B&H, and try this lens! Or better yet, just buy it. High likelihood you'll giggle with delight at what this lens can do, particularly at this price!

[f/0.95] The TTartisans 50mm F0.95 lens is a very usable lens.
Very good sharpness at higher apertures and great bokeh at lower ones. Not as sharp at F0.95 as the Leica but very adequate and Loys of fun while saving
thousands of dollars
