Do NOT attempt to install or use OWC Aura or Aura Pro X SSDs in the Envoy Pro as you may damage the OWC drive, the enclosure, or both, and such damage is not covered under warranty.

[ M.2 SSD ] Love this, no more editing on external disc drive, this SSD is just like having zillion of space on the computer. My Mac Studio has 4 To but sometimes I end-up having to edit multiple projet around the same period. I used to edit on a 8 To disc drive but it's just anoying when it pauses and you have to wait for it to wake up... 5

[ M.2 SSD ] I work a lot with video files as a hobby & transferring from desktop to external HDD can take a long time. I had some extra money and decided to try an SSD. I bought this drive & ran a very unscientific test. Copying 7.5 GB file from desktop to WD Elements spinning drive and the OWC SSD drive. To Elements Drive - 61 Sec. To OWC Drive - 3 Sec. The 1st time you see it? Amazing! And built like a truck with a 3 yr guarantee. 5

[ M.2 SSD ] Bought this as the expendable disk as you cannot repair the SSD in a MAC Studio. I use this for swapping large video files and any file that doesn't need to be on the boot disk. When this disk reaches end of life due to number of overwrites it's easy to replace. As for speed, it does everything I expected it to. I've used it for several months and from my experience I would highly recommend. 5

[0.965 lb] Speeds used with MacBook Pro and Mac Pro are consistent with claimed speeds. The speeds are sustained with large transfers, upwards of 100+ files and 500GB+ each time. If you must, even lots up to 1T+ can be done in under 30 minutes. Totally like the old and discontinued Samsung X5, which was not backward compatible with USB-C only devices, like this Envoy Pro FX. Remember, the slightly faster Envoy Pro EX is not backward compatible. 5

[ M.2 SSD ] I purchased two of the OWC 4TB Pro FX External SSDs for my new 14 MacBook Pro. I am long-time customer of OWC products. My experience with their products and service has always been positive. Even if a SSD failed (for whatever reason), OWC was quick to either provide either a refund or replacement. Interestingly, at the time when I went to the OWC web-site to purchase these particular 4TB Envoy Pro FX SSDs, they were out of stock. However, B&H Photo-Video had them, which was a pleasant surprise. I use these particular drives for 4K video editing, often for projects using two or three cameras. So far these SSDs have met the challenge both in terms of relatively fast read/write times and being dependable. 5
