Mount the Misfit Six 6.6 x 6.6" matte box onto a lens with a 162mm diameter with this Bright Tangerine 6x6 Frame Safe Clamp Adapter for Misfit Six Matte Boxfrom Bright Tangerine. The rectangular adapter is optimized for wide coverage and attaches to the matte box using the existing screws. It can fit a lens with a 162mm diameter into its circular cutout. The anodized aluminum adapter can also be attached to a 15mm support bracket with an appropriate support extension.

A: I solved this by using a big rubber band around the barrel. It works and hasnt fallen so far.

[Aluminum] A bit expensive but you get what you paid for. Lightweight matte box. The filter trays are secure, with no problems with filter trays dropping. They're also easy to tighten down as well. Used this many times on set and will continue to. 5

[8.9 x 8 x 0.8"] I have an ARRI LMB 4x5 and have been using the rubber black hole vs clamp on adapters. ACs have hated it so I bought this for a recent shoot. Performed very well, clamped on tight to the lenses for handheld/easy rig use. I was slightly concerned after reading other reviews that the ARRI clamp adapters were the only ones to buy, but this seemed like a quality unit and held onto the lenses as expected during a 2 day branded commercial shoot. 5

[Screw] Great that it's compatible with the Arri lmbs. Saves a few bucks over the Arri one which does add up if your buying 6 different sizes. It actually clamps on unlike one of the even cheaper options. 5

[Screw] Bought this to compliment my Leica R 35mm summicron in my Red Scarlet-W. This thing couldn’t be built or designed any better. The rubber “black hole” is a perfect choice if you’re going to be using vintage lenses. Make sure you have some sort of step up ring if your lens has a diameter smaller than 60mm or light will leak. I probably wouldn’t use it with lenses with a diameter larger than 82mm since it’s made of a thin rubber material and it might rip or stretch out too much. Looks miles better than baggy cloth though... The reason I went with the misfit is because I know that if I change lenses or if a client wants to work with other lenses, I can easily buy the other configurations to accommodate whatever I end up using. I know this is more expensive than most matte boxes but it’s worth it since this is the only matte box you will ever need. 5

[162 mm] Surprised by how light weight it is. Really good build quality and clever tray design. The thumb screws to extend the unit for additional filters gets loose sometimes so just have to tighten it every now and then. 5
