Designed to drive everything from low- to high-Z loads for headphones or loudspeakers, the HPA V550 Pro Headphone Amp and Preamp from Violectric delivers versatile functionality and low-noise, low-distortion circuits specially optimized for dynamic and orthodynamic headphones. With support for headphone impedance loads of 16 to 600 ohms, the V550 Pro can drive the most demanding headphones, while pre-gain selection via DIP switch and pre- or post-fader selection make the unit equally comfortable as a high-fidelity studio preamplifier.

The V550 Pro sports balanced stereo Neutrik XLR outputs and inputs, two unbalanced RCA inputs, four unbalanced RCA outputs, two unbalanced 1/4" stereo TRS headphone outputs, and one fully balanced, Neutrik XLR 4-pin stereo headphone output with gold-plating for true balanced headphone amplification. This amp features plenty of control over your amplified signal with 256-step relay volume control with balance knob, dedicated input and output selection, and a wireless infrared remote control for conveniently controlling volume and selecting inputs or outputs.

Q: 1. Can you use this with a power bank?

A: The Samson QH4 4-Channel Headphone Amplifier requires 15V DC and most power banks do not supply that amount of voltage. We recommend using the included power supply.

Q: 2. Please explain the mono switch. What I'm looking for his a device that will mix the stereo channels into mono and deliver the mono signal to both headphones channels. Can this unit do that?

A: The stereo/mono switch sums the stereo input to mono. In this mode all headsets connected will be fed a mono signal. (Same signal to both left and right).

Q: 3. Are these good for podcasting?

A: Hi, Thank you for reaching out. Great for podcasting using more then one set of headphones or to send out audio out to other equipment.

Q: 4. Does this work over seas

A: The included 12 VDC supply is 120 VAC 60 Hz only. It is not compatible with most electrical systems outside North America.

Q: 5. is the belt clip removable? I need a flat surface to velcro-mount

A: Yes. The belt clip is removable.

Q: 6. Will the mono switch help detect if one of the stereo channels is out of phase? In other words, if the left channel is 180 degrees out of phase from the right, this can be difficult to detect with headphones, but if the channels are summed to mono, the cancellation should be audible in each ear. Is this the case with this mono switch?

A: THE ONLY THING THAT IS EFFECTED IS THE LOW FREQ. SIGNALS. ONE IN THE RT. EAR & ONE IN THE LEFT. TELLING THE DIFF. IS HARD ENOUGH WHEN THE SOUND IS COMING FROM SPEAKERS. Q: 7. Is the 4.4mm Pentaconn connection balanced or unbalanced? These are usually balanced.

A: The Violectric HPA V202 Headphone Amplifier's 4.4mm headphone output is unbalanced.

Q: 8. Is it have enought impedance output for 300 Omhs headphones?

A: To drive higher impedance headphones(such as 300 ohm phones) a amplifier usually needs to produce a higher voltage swing. This is not a case of having "enough impedance for 300 ohm headphones", but of having enough voltage. Having "enough" depends on the sensitivity of the 300 ohm headphones and the voltage output capability of the amplifier, and how loud you prefer to listen. This amplifier can produce a RMS voltage swing of no more than 4.2 volts. That may be enough if you have sensitive headphones (more than 100dB/volt) and listen at safe levels. However, if your phones have low sensitivity(less than 96 dB/volt)and you want to listen at hearing-damaging heavy metal levels, then this amp won't be powerful enough.

Q: 9. Will this Rolls RA53B shipped with 220V power adaptor?

A: The 12 VDC Power Supply included is designed to accept 120 VAC only.

A: Yes the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x Headphones would work well with the Pyle Pro PHA40 Headphone Amplifier.

[AC Input] The COVID-19 pandemic response has resulted in stay at home directives from officials. That has caused many people to start using Video Conference apps. The HPA-4X2 permits up to 4 users to share the headphone audio output from their computer with ease. Each user can control the volume level to suit their needs. It has plenty of gain and is extremely quiet. Only negative is that the output drivers are NOT short circuit protected and the unit can be permanently damaged if one plugs in a standard 1/4 phone plug instead of a stereo plug. Also and on/off switch would be a nice convenience. 5

[6 dB] I have this hooked up with my PC's Line Out with Realtek Audio Console and with my AKG K240s, sound quality is very nice. Construction of the amp is solid, all ports are secured and dials are easy to turn. I would recommend buying a four channel amp like this instead of a single channel for its versatility for use cases such as podcasting or studio work. Overall, very happy with this purchase. 5

[16 to 600 Ohms] Works perfectly. I needed a way to boost the audio signal on my video for a noisy exhibition. Even after boosting my gain and adjusting the volume on the audio, the audio still couldn't be heard when there was a crowd. The Polsen solved that in one easy step. No distortion, very easy to install. handles multiple sets of headphones at once. 5

[Single Channel] In the category of small and inexpensive headphone amps, this one is a winner. It is well made, includes all the necessary cables and adapter plugs, is loud enough for almost any headphone and delivers pristine sound. I have used it with Teams, Skype and zoom video conferences where multiple people want to listen in with differing levels of loudness without disturbing others. Even attaching it to a laptop delivers excellent sound to a single headphone at a loudness level that exceeds what a laptop can deliver over the 3.5mm audio-out connector. I tested the amp with Sony, Sennheiser and AKG headphones and in all cases the sound was as good as can be expected. 5

[Single Channel] The� Polsen HPA-4X2 4- is a basic but solid amplifier. I use it to monitor audio during video editing and it has no lag or latency.�I have not perceived any noise or rumble either.�If you need to boost your audio signal, from a stereo RCA or a 1/4" TRS��source, for monitoring, this is it. The various mini-plugs that come with it are handy. 5
