The hub offers data transfer rates up to 5 Gb/ss so you can plug in USB devices such as external hard drives, flash drives, and video cameras to quickly transfer large files. [1.01 lb] Years of photography were stored on 6 different external hard drives. With this Xcellon hub... I can find any of my old photos just by pushing a button to select any of those drives without needing to disconnect . Should have bought this years ago. 5

[3.3' / 1 m] Never had a USB hub go south on me before, but my Insignia apparently did. Suddenly every hour or so one or the other drive connected to it would disconnect and reconnect -- and sometimes would stay disconnected. This was after several years of trouble-free service. I had a hard time believing it was the hub, since that never happened to me before: How can a hub go bad??? Finally I bought this Xcellon hub and WHOOSH! all problems disappeared completely; can't recommend it highly enough. 5

[3.3' / 1 m] This is excellent. You can never have too many USB ports. This hub is a perfect remedy for lack of ports by providing 10 fast USB slots at your fingertips. I have my computer under my desk, so plugging in USB peripherals straight to the computer ports can be a hassle. It means getting down on the ground and struggling to find an empty slot. This hub eliminates all of that by putting all 10 ports at a convenient place right on my desktop. I love that! I've used this to plug in all kinds of accessories, including hard drives (SSD and HDD), thumb drives, my Polsen US-OB-55 Boundary Microphone, an SD card reader etc. Whatever I plug in works flawlessly. It is also fast. The hub is spec'd to give data transfer rates up to 5 Gb, and I believe it. I've had no issues with speed, even when I have a bunch of things being used at once. It truly has been fantastic. I also love that each port comes with an independent on/off switch. That's a great feature and makes it super easy to turn something on and off very conveniently when not in use. I like to do that after I eject a hard drive or thumb drive, this way the power is cut off. The build quality is good and it's small and discreet, especially considering that it has so many ports. [3.3' / 1 m] I recently purchased 2 Xcellon Slim 10 Port USB 3.0 Hubs. They were to replace similar same brand hubs that I had purchased a long, long time ago. The new Hubs have individual on/off switches for each USB Port, 10 on off switches, which allows me to leave multiple remote drives plugged in, but not connected to my iMac's. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. 5

[3.3' / 1 m] I've had what feels like a million different USB hubs over the years. I've only had this one for about a month but I love it because of the external power supply, high-transfer speeds (USB3.0), and the ability to independently power on and off each individual (of the 10) USB inputs available. I have a nice little caddy with my Samsung T-drives next to it so when I don't want a drive connected, I eject from my computer, and simply power off its individual port. No more unplugging and replugging and moving drives around. I've got my keyboard, Streamdeck, and 5 Samsung drives plugged in at the moment, and I still have three open USB slots to use. I've had no issues with overloading or drives disconnecting without ejecting first (as I've had others where you look at it the wrong way and it'd disconnect). 5 stars!
