This should be the standard battery sled for the Mixpre ii. I don't know what Sound Device is thinking when they design the AA battery sled. Huge design failure!. Keep falling and never securely locks. I like this sled better (Sound Device has one too). And when using it with Sony NP-F7XX, it last up 8+ hours (4 times longer than AA battery), and I'm sure it will last up to 12 hour (6 times longer) when using Sony NP-F9XX. The only cons is it's super thight. Don't use it if you plan to remove the sled very often. I suggest use USB-C port for file transfer when using this. 5

I was looking for a small, low profile power system to power my Sony A7Sii, monitor, follow focus and wireless transmitter. I bought this with the Hawk-Woods 98Wh and 150Wh Mini V-Mount batteries. Since the plate comes with 4 built in D-Tap receptacles I am able to have one small but powerful battery source for everything. The plate also takes my full size V-Mount batteries should I need them in. 5
